Perry Touchdown Club Meeting Minutes

6:35pm Meeting called to order
Discussion Topics:
-Financial Review- Account balances, expenditures and future expenses were discussed, reviewed and approved.. As of now the TD Club finances are breaking even/looking good Gold card sales were very successful.
Fundraising-Perry TD Club Golf Tournament is set for October 3rdat Ocotillo Golf Course. If people sign up to play before 8/25 they receive a free Puma shirt. Fiesta Bowl tickets may be sold by us later this year. Our club must sell 20 tickets, but if so will receive 20% of those sales. More information to come on this later. Upcoming restaurant fundraiser nights include BJ’s Brewery, Little Caesar’s. Francisco’s Pizza and Babbo’s Italian restaurants are also possibilities for upcoming fundraising nights.
-Program –The program for this season is complete. Thank you to Sylvia Parker for her countless hours in completing this program. Programs will sell for $5 and a roster insert will be sold for a $1.
-Puma Wear-is in desperate need of volunteers for games. Puma wear sales bring in significant money for the TD Club and football program. However, the only way the trailer can be open at all the games it should be open for is with volunteer help.
-Rockin’ Refuel Teamwas awarded to Perry. Perry will receive 20 cases per week for 10 weeks.
Miscellaneous-Taste of Perry is 9/17/15 in the Perry cafeteria. Please come out and support this Perry PPO event. Fireworks are set for homecoming. TD Club is looking in to selling shout outs for $3 a piece at games. These would be purchased at the Puma wear trailer and messages (Happy Birthday, Good Luck, etc) would be read throughout the game and at halftime. TD Club is working on coordinating video with AZ Sports 360. T-shirts for the 9/11 game against Liberty will be ordered and sold.
First Home Game- of Season-Friday against Dobson. There will be a field dedication/ribbon cutting ceremony that takes place at 6:45pm
-Tailgates-After game tailgates are scheduled for the following home games: Dobson, Mesquite, Homecoming and Hamilton. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the TD Club.
-E-mails from TD Club-Please read through and do not ignore emails from TD Club! We realize there are many that come your way, but there is a lot of important information, deadlines, etc. to disperse that you will miss if you do not read the emails!
Social Media Update- Looking for volunteers who may be willing to help with Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc. If you are interested on helping with/posting for the Perry Pumas football program please contact the TD Club.
Get Involved- The TD Club is interested in (and in need of) expanding from board positions and team coordinators to also having functional chairs /head of committees. The majority of things that go on within the TD Club and football program fall on the same few people. The following titles are potential committee chair opportunities: Fundraising, Program, TD Club Membership, Special Events, Puma Wear, Sponsorship, Team/Field Support, Volunteer Coordinator, Communications. Please seriously consider getting involved and if you are interested, please contact the TD Club.
Coach’s Update: Coach Jones shared that there is a list of boys who have not paid their pay to play fees. This needs to be taken care of immediately. He also asked if the board wouldn’t mind providing dinner for the athletic trainers on game day.
