USATF Long Island Track and Field Mission Statement:

The mission of USATF Long Island Association is to develop and support programs in Track and Field. By providing leadership to the sport of Track and Field on Long Island and to promote the pursuit of excellence from Youth to Masters to grass roots and Olympic Games.

  3. Put together a list of what you and your group can contribute.
  4. Create a list of legitimate coaches and programs
  5. Reach out to your athletes, alumni, parents and other coaches to support USATF Long Island
  6. Promote our sport.
  7. Identify the key people we know who can help bring us an indoor facility
  8. Work to develop a solid middle school program
  9. Create meets and programs which energize the sport instead of fragmenting it
