Hurricane Disaster Relief Payments - Mobile Home Checks to beMailed

This is to notify you that the Department plans to begin printing checks for the mobile home-related hurricane disaster relief payments on Thursday, June 16th. Therefore, the approved applicant database will be locked on Wednesday, June 15th at the close of business. Until that time, changes or additions can be made at the data entry site:

I would strongly encourage you to review the data records on the Department's database to ensure that they have been entered and captured correctly. Ensuring the accuracy of the database before the checks are mailed can save a lot of heartburn later.

You can download a copy of your county's data at the website cited above. Please contact Barry Kantrowitz at the phone number or email address below if you have any questions. Checks should begin to be mailed in batches beginning late next week or early the following week.

For your information, a spreadsheet is attached showing the latest data on approvedapplicants by county for both homestead and mobile home-related payments.

Approved applicants for both the homestead-related and mobile home-related hurricanedisaster relief payments are now able to check the status of their payment on the Internet. The website is the same as that used for homestead-related applicants andmay be accessed by clicking "Hurricane Disaster Relief Approved Applicant Status Verification" at the Department of Revenue's property tax website: Approved applicants wishing to check the status of the paymentmay do so by entering their social security number (or federal employer identification number) and their last name. (Businesses only have to enter their FEI number.)The site will allow them to verify that the Department has received the approved application and that their mailing address is correct. Once the checks have been mailed, the date of mailing will also be shown.
