Match Reports
U13 Section 1 – Bayside def Eastern United - 41-30
I was not impressed with our start but, I must say, it was beautiful netball to watch after half time. Well done girls for working together as a team and pushing each other to play your best – I was very proud of you all. Special mention to Bridie on an outstanding game in defence and to Maddy and Maya who both had an impressive game in goals.
U13 Section 3 – Bayside def by Caulfied & District - 21-36
Well it was the Tale of Two Cities tonight where our first and last quarters where fantastic while our second and third quarters had more congestion throughout the middle than the Tullamarine during peak hour. Our rushed passing and calling from behind let us down but our effort to intercept was constant which was great. Another hard week next week so let's think about columns, moving forward and ball position in our passing. Bayside 21 lost to Caulfield and District Green 36
U13 Section 6 – Bayside def by Revolution – 15-19
Coach unavailable for comment.
U15 Section 1 – Bayside def by Doncaster - 20-32
Bayside played Doncaster and at half time the game was up for grabs but, unfortunately, we didn't come up trumps and went down by 12 goals.
U15 Section 3 – Bayside defGippsland Storm - 30-22
One of our best consistent games for this season. Well done girls.
U15 Section 4 – Bayside def Waverley City - 31-15
Coach unavailable for comment.
U15 Section 5 – Bayside def by Pakenham Power - 16-32
Bayside 12 played the top team and at half time were down by 16 goals , in the second half they played much better but could not bridge the gap.
U17 Waverley Prem. Section 1 (Wed. night) – Bayside def Southern Fusion - 60-53
Tough game this week against a team we haven’t versed before. They had a similar dynamic to us so we found it hard getting and holding a lead. A swap in our last quarter to match up the tall players worked in our favour but we have to make use of all of our turn overs giving it to the easy option first.
U17 Waverley Prem. Section 2 (Wed. night) – Bayside def by Yarra Ariels Jets - 29-40
Coach unavailable for comment.
U17 Parkville Division 1 – Bayside def by Banyule - 31-34
A really tough game for the girls this week. They played really well but unfortunately went down by three.
U17 Parkville Division 2 – Bayside def by Penola Saints - 15-32
A really disappointing game on Tuesday night. We lacked intensity for most parts of the game and made some very poor decisions and turnovers. Plenty to work on in the coming weeks.
Open Division 1 – Bayside def by Eastside - 21-29
It was a close affair in the first quarter, but they managed to slip away and win each quarter. We showed glimpses of our best netball and fought hard defensively. Alicia Wise and Ash Hardy were outstanding in defence.
Open Division 2 – Bayside - Bye
Open Division 3 – Bayside def by MCC - 27-37
Div3 had a difficult game against MCC’s second team. After a very bright start with a lead of four goals we dropped off and by halftime we're down by seven. Second half was better as we controlled some passages of play but ended up being beaten by a better team who were able to convert more of their chances. Special mention for Ann Cooper who won several interceptions and rebounds in every quarter at GK.
Open Division 4 – Bayside - Bye
Go Bayside!
