Title: Facilities and Operations Coordinator Department: Operations

Type: Part Time Hourly, 25hours weekly Supervisor: Operations Manager

Summary:Performs basic activities related to maintenance and upkeep of building, grounds, and vehicles of Help and Emergency Response, Inc.

Qualifications:

Education:

·  High School diploma or equivalent required.

·  Valid State driver license is required.

Experience:

·  Minimum one year experience in building maintenance

·  One year of HVAC and/or electrical experience preferred

Essential Functions:

·  Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the HER Code of Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and professional standards.

·  Performs routine maintenance and repair required to keep the building and equipment in good working order.

·  Completes work orders in a prompt and efficient manner

·  Maintains and repairs HVAC systems, refrigerators, washers and dryers, and other equipment.

·  Participates in painting, flooring, carpentry, tile and general updating projects.

·  Repairs doors and door hardware, automatic door operators, and access control systems

·  Maintains facility PM logs including generators, HVAC systems and filter changes, emergency light testing, access control equipment, eyewash station checks and others.

·  Repairs medical equipment including beds, lift chairs, wheelchairs, patient lifts, etc.

·  Moves beds, mattresses, and assist with other furniture moves as requested.

·  Coordinates and assists with volunteers and groups that include maintenance or grounds

·  Maintains property by cutting grass, trimming, and other general landscape upkeep.

·  Performs other tasks as assigned.

·  Must be available for on call hours approximately once every three weeks.

·  Must assist with emergency weather plans

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

·  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

·  Ability to be patient and polite in a fast paced environment.

·  Knowledge of vehicle operations and maintenance procedures.

·  Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.

·  Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff,

·  Ability to operate mowing and snow removal equipment.

Personal Qualifications:

- Professional and sensitive attitude, which reflects the philosophy of the H.E.R. Shelter.

- Excellent driving record, valid driver’s license, certificate of

-CPR/ First Aid Certification

-Able to pass criminal background check
