Cat Adoption Application

You must be 21 years of age to adopt an animal from PAW Animal Shelter

Pleaseunderstand that an animal in a rescue has already been given up once. While all of our animals are thoroughly evaluated, they are all different and will have their own quirks and issues. You must be prepared and committed to the animal and dealing with its issues. This rescue’s intention is to place these animals in forever homes. If you understand these issues and are prepared to make the commitment, please fill out the form below.

Be aware some cats/ kittens have enormous energy. Also if your cat/kitten is not declawed you will need to supply a scratching post for their claws. Cats/kittens can damage furniture, curtains, etc with their claws.

· PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

I understand that any cat/kitten I obtain will not be perfect. I must give my new cat/kitten plenty of time to adjust. The adjustment period could be anywhere from one month to 6 months, sometimes longer. It will necessary for me to teach him the rules of the home if I expect him to adjust properly. I will not expose him to lots of new people, places or pets until he has had the opportunity to become comfortable with his new surroundings and family. He must not be exposed to strangers and especially children until I have formed a bond with him and are fully aware of his temperament so as not to put anyone in danger. Cats/kittens are animals and therefore can be unpredictable. I will be careful and patient.

 I agree with the terms above.
