6. Recommended achievements by thesis review
The Chair of the confirmation panel in consultation with the confirmation panel, advisors and student outline the achievements that the student is expected to have reached by thesis review. This can include:
- Overcome shortcomings identified above (Where “No” has been ticked in (5)).
- Analysis/interpretation of a specified set of experiments leading to enhanced knowledge.
- Building/testing a hypothesis.
- Conference abstracts / poster, and published, submitted and in preparation papers.
- Thesis chapters. It is expected that the student will have completed at least 3 chapters by the thesis review.
