A Tour of the Lakeview Water Treatment Plant

Located East of Cawthra Road and South of Lakeshore Road at the South end of East Avenue in Mississauga.

Mississauga’s drinking water comes from Lake Ontario. The Region of Peel treats the lake water at two water treatment plants located in the City of Mississauga. These water treatment plants provide the drinking water for Mississauga, Brampton and Bolton. Also the Lakeview Water Treatment Plant has been undergoing expansion and upgrading to increase the supply of drinking water.

Come and join us on a tour of the Lakeview Water Treatment Plant to learn more about how the Region of Peel treats our drinking water:

  • Learn about traditional water treatment technology,
  • Learn about new water treatment technology such as ultra filtration that is now being incorporated into the Lakeview Water Treatment Plant,
  • The expansion and upgrade of the Lakeview Water Treatment Plant.

This tour is limited to twenty five people and members of PEO. There will be a nominal fee of $5.00 to reserve for this tour.

To register for this tour, please make out your cheque postdated to September 11, 2008 for the sum of $5.00 payable to “PEO, Mississauga Chapter”. Mail the cheque complete with your email address and/or phone number for quick confirmation to Allan Giacomelli, P.Eng. 974 Lucerne Crescent, Mississauga, ON L5C 3Y6. For refund of your cheque, you must cancel your participation in the tour no later than Friday September 5, 2008.
