Re: Alabama Scholastic Press Association’s Fall Journalism Workshop at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa
On Wednesday, September 14, Broadcast and Publications students have the opportunity to attend Alabama Scholastic Press Association’s Fall Journalism Workshop at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Students will attend learning sessions throughout the day to help prepare them for writing, reporting, anchoring, and producing a newscast. We will depart OMMS around 7:15 a.m. and arrive back at school by 3 p.m. In order to keep costs at a minimum, Mr. Haynes will also drive the bus. This is a great opportunity for our students to meet and share information with their peers from some of the best student broadcasts, newspapers, and yearbooks throughout Alabama.
Total expenses for the workshop, including registration and transportation, will be $20 per student. Each student will need money for lunch at Ferguson Center Food Court.
Please sign the attached participation form and return it to school with $20 by Friday, September 9 if you would like your son or daughter to attend. We appreciate the opportunity to work with your child.
Thank you for your support.
