INFORMATION NOTE

We are very pleased to welcome you to the APT Training Course on Radio Spectrum Management and Services in the Pacific in Nadi, Fiji. We sincerely hope that your very brief stay in Fiji will be a very pleasant and fruitful. Please be assured that we will do our best to make your stay a comfortable and a memorable one.

In order to ensure smooth running of the Training Course we are pleased to provide below important information for your convenient participation:.

1.  Venue of the Training

The APT Training Course on Radio Spectrum Management and Services in the Pacific will be held from 6 to 9 July, 2015 at the Tanoa Room in the Tanoa International Hotel.

The Tanoa Room is towards the right as you pass the Reception – training signage will be posted the day before the training.

2.  Registration

The Registration Counter will be set up outside the training room. The Registration and distribution of badge will commence on Monday 6th July 2015 from 08:30 hrs to 09:00 hrs.

Participants are required to bring their passport or identity card (with photo) to receive their badges.

3.  Opening of the Meeting

The Opening of the APT Training Course on Radio Spectrum Management and Services in the Pacific will begin at 09:00 hrs to 09:30 hrs on Monday 6th July 2015. Please be seated on time.

4.  Transportation from the Airport to hotel

The Tanoa International Hotel is located approximately 3 KMs (5 minute drive) from the Nadi International Airport.

§  The Tanoa International Hotel has a free transportation to pick up its guests provided your itinerary is advised in advance.

§  Alternatively, a taxi service is available. The approximate taxi fare from the airport to the Tanoa International Hotel is F$9.00 (USD5.00). It is recommended you confirm the price with the driver before you depart. (The fellowship does not cover the expenses for taxi.)

Your drivers Umesh Chand, Jiten Prasad, Sandeep Ram, and Atinesh Raju are in charge of transferring to the from the Nadi International Airport on a 24 hrs. shift. Their mobile contact is 999 8552. Or call Ms. Vere Aropio, the Tanoa Conference Manager on her mobile phone 992 3619.

5.  Airport Transfer

The hotel will provide individual information, kindly contact the hotel reception for making necessary arrangement for airport transfer before departure.

6.  Social Functions

All participants are kindly invited to join:

The Welcome Dinner hosted by Telecom Fiji Limited on Tuesday, 7th July, 2015 at 18:30 to 20:30 hrs at the Convention Center Lawn, the Tanoa International Hotel.

Lunch will be provided during the training course at 12:15 to 14:00 hrs at Garden Court Breakfasr, the Tanoa International Hotel.

Coffee Breaks will be provided during the training course at 10:30 to 10:45 hrs and 15:30 to 15:45 hrs, the Tanoa International Hotel.

7.  Bring Your Laptop

All the training materials will be provided on the APT website only. Please bring your laptop with WiFi function.

All participants are requested to download the documents from the APT Website before the training course starts to avoid congestion of the access which might cause stoppage of the internet connection. To access training documents; www.apt.int/2015-TRN-PAC

8.  Wireless Access to the Internet

Internet Access over Wireless LAN will also be available during the training course. Participants who wish to utilize Wireless LAN facility are kindly requested to bring their own laptops with a wireless LAN card.

9.  Reconfirmation of airtickets

Please contact the hotel counter reconfirmation for making necessary flight reconfirmation for you.

About Fiji: Fiji is approximately 18 degrees South latitude of the equator and has a warm and tropical climate. The average daytime temperature during the cool season (July/August) is 15-25 degrees Celsius. Summer clothing with a light jacket is recommended for during the day but it can get cool at night.
