FreeRice. (2007-2009). Retrieved from .This website is great for allowing students to work on the computer while enhancing their reading and language skills. Each time a student answers an answer correctly, the World Food Programme donates ten grains of rice towards fighting hunger.

This is a great resource to supplement units with background knowledge on subjects or to assist teaching specific content. Many students need a visual connection to the written or spoken word.

Generate Beautiful Pictures. (2010). Retrieved from . Students and teachers can use this site to see which words are over used when writing. I have used this as a play review as how the students described a play we saw on a field trip.

I have used this site for worksheet templates on summarizing-it even came with a Spanish template for my ELL student.

Teachertube. (2010). Retrieved from . This site gives a variety of visual teaching aids that either the teachers or students put together. This is similar to youtube, only it is usually school appropriate. My past and current students still sing a rap song over the Elements of a Short Story.

Teaching Tolerance. (2010). Retrieved from . This is a project from the Southern Poverty Law Center. It creates professional developments, classroom activities, gives resources, magazine articles and excerpts, and teaching kits. This allows for different strategies in teaching how to be tolerant and what to do and how to overcome intolerance.

Therapeutic Humor with Dr. Steve. (2009). Retrieved from .This site is very interesting and pertinent to today’s students. They believe that humor used each day can consistently change negative thinking patterns over time. Following this will make for a better classroom climate.
