;

The suggested agenda of the 6th EPMAN meeting reflects some new information obtained at the forty eight session of the working group on strategies and review (WGSR) hold in 11-15th April in Geneva.

As the most important observation is possible to consider following issue:

  • WGSR-48 did not accept the TFRN proposals for revising Annex IX. Neither option A, nor B and C was satisfying.
  • WGRS demands for reduction of Guidance Document or make it more effective.
  • More data concerning cost estimation are needed.
  • A division of the Annex IX in (A) mandatory part and (B) voluntary part has been suggested. Part A should include all current legislations, and possible slurry storage and spreading (for all animal categories) and nitrogen management.

As a reaction on above mentioned issues is planed to discuss following topics:

  • Selected parts of the book “Costs of ammonia abatement and the climate co-benefits”, published by Springer
  • Discussion of the shortened version of the Annex IX (version from January 2011)
  • Processing of the list of mandatory and voluntary measures in the annex IX
  • Discussion of the newest version of draft of GD (version from January 2011)
  • French, Spanish commentsof the GD
  • Discussion of the shortened version
  • Discussion on the big gap dealing with emission from industrially produced fertilizers applications
