Checklist of Application Materials:

1) Scholarship application. Fill out as much of it as possible with “word”. Then print it and sign where necessary.

2) All College Transcripts (unofficial accepted)

3) 500-word personal statement telling the scholarship committee about your background, your educational and career plans, and how receiving a scholarship would benefit you. You should be thoughtful and clear in your personal statement to help the committeeunderstand what has brought you to this point in your life, and where you intend to go. This statement will also help the committee ascertain how well you write. So be sure to proof read it yourself and have others proof read it as well.

4) Two Letters of Recommendation. One letter must be from a faculty member from high school or college. The other can be a character reference from a work or volunteer supervisor etc. Please instruct them to print the letter on letter head and sign it, then scan it and e-mail it FROM THERE PROFESSION EMAIL ACCOUNT (ie NOT ) to .

20.  Students who receive a scholarship, fellowship, or other financial aid administered by the

  1. If you are a double major within the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, you will only be eligible to receive a scholarship from one department.
  1. Only submit requested materials. Any additional materials will be discarded.
  1. Scholarship materials should NOT be sent to the College Dean’s office. All requested materials MUST be sent directly to the department office of your major. Any materials (applications, personal statements, transcripts, or letters of recommendation) sent to the Dean’s office will NOT be forwarded, resulting in an incomplete application that will not be considered by the scholarship committee.
