LEGAL NOTICE

Sealed Proposals for Lake Hopatcong Best Management Practice (BMP) Retrofit Project for Yacht Club Drive located in Jefferson Township, Morris County, New Jersey, will be received by the LAKE HOPATCONG COMMISSION, bearing the address Lake Hopatcong Commission, C/O Hopatcong State Park, 6 Lakeside Boulevard, Landing, NJ 07850 by Friday, May 18, 2012, 2:00 p.m. prevailing time. No Proposals will be accepted after said hour.

PROJECT SCOPE (FOR MAGNITUDE PURPOSES ONLY):

This bid specification is for implementation and installation of two (2) Filterra units along Yacht Club Drive Right-of-Way at address 41 Yacht Club Drive, Lake Hopatcong, NJ07849 in JeffersonTownship, Morris County, New Jersey. Construction will involve the installation of two Filterra units with associated piping, pavement and curb restoration, temporary traffic control, and off-site disposal. The project is funded through an NJDEP 319(H) grant, and is part of the long-term effort aimed at reducing nutrient and sediment loading within the LakeHopatcong watershed.

The Bidding Documents will be made available for a fee of $25.00 made payable to the “Lake Hopatcong Commission,” exclusively at the Lake Hopatcong Commission, C/O Hopatcong State Park, 6 Lakeside Boulevard, Landing, NJ 07850 from 10:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., beginning Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time at Lake Hopatcong Commission, C/O Hopatcong State Park, 6 Lakeside Boulevard, Landing, NJ 07850. A site walk at the project site will follow.All prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the project sites to understand the terrain, project requirements and locations. All technical questions are due in writing addressed to Princeton Hydro to Kristina Peacock’s attention via fax (908-237-5666) or email () by Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 12:00 Noon. Project Engineer shall issue a formal response and/or addendum by Friday, May 11, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.

Proposals shall be made on the forms provided and made part of the Contract Documents, which shall be submitted intact. A certified check or cashier's check made payable to the order of the Lake Hopatcong Commission, or a duly executed Bid Bond, in the amount of 10 percent of each bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 must be deposited by the Bidder together with a Surety Consent evidencing that he can obtain the required Performance and Maintenance Bonds.

The successful Bidder shall be required to deliver to the Commission an executed Performance Bond of a responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey.

Proposals must be placed in sealed envelopes and hand-delivered or sent by express mail to the LAKE HOPATCONG COMMISSION, C/O Hopatcong State Park, 6 Lakeside Boulevard, Landing, NJ 07850 with the Proposal description and the name and address of the Bidder marked clearly on the outside of the envelope.

The Commission reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals or to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in the Proposal received and to accept the Proposal which is in the best interest of the Commission.
