Both companies have two alternative routes: “Autopista” or “Centenario”. Always choose the first one, (Autopista), which will take you at La Plata Bus Terminal (42 St., between 3rd and 4th streets) in about 60 minutes. The La Plata Bus Terminal’s phone number is (0221) 421-0992/ 2182.

We only recommend taking the 07:34 a.m. semi-rapid train to La Plata, which will take you to La Plata Train Terminal (at 1st Avenue and 44 street) in about 60 minutes.

4. Once in La Plata.

Be it that you reached La Plata by train or by Plaza or Costera Metropolitana buses, you may either take a taxi at the cars ‘stops at the exit of stations and travel to the hotel you have booked..

Depending on your travel plans, you can also go directly to the Symposium in the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, at 47th and 117 Streets). If you come from the train terminal, you are only 6 blocks away and may come walking down by 1st Avenue until 47 street and then turn left 3 more blocks. If you come from the bus terminal, the Faculty is 11 blocks away and you may wish to take a taxi. Taxi drivers know the city very well and will drive you to your destination through the shortest way.

La Plata is also known as “the city of diagonals” (which you may easily understand by looking the attached map). If you come from cities with orthogonal design, you can easily get lost. Ask. La Plata residents are very friendly and will orient you clearly and warmly.
