GIFTED

4/21/13

PRAY!!

There is only one you. God in His infinite knowledge planned you before the beginning of time. Knowing the life that you would live, being redeemed by Him would bring you to the place you are now. My hope and prayer for this series is that you will discover how He has fashioned you to fit into His mission.

Believe it or not, you are gifted (Salvation, Spirit, Church, Calling)

God is Glorified and People Benefit

1 Peter 4:10-11 – 10Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others,as faithfulstewards of God’s grace in its various forms.11If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God.If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides,so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Motivational Gifts

Our Response to His Awesomeness

Romans 11:33-12:8 – 33Oh, the depth of the richesof the wisdom andknowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
34“Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?
35“Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay them?”
36For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.

12Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.2Do not conformto the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasingand perfect will.

3For by the grace given meI say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.4For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,5so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.6We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with yourfaith;7if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;8if it is to encourage, then give encouragement;if it is giving, then give generously;if it is to lead,do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
