Reviewed August Meeting Minutes

Review of Website Statistics

·  August site statistics were discussed and are listed below. In August, both unique visitors and number of visits increased compared to August 2014 and there was substantial reduction in number of hits compared to last year. Historically, the summer, in particular August, the web portal numbers are down. Although some the figures may seem low, the statistics are aligned with past summer trend.

New Business

News Desk Update

·  Five minute spotlight idea will be brought up at the General Meeting on 9/16. Michael Delaney will report at the General Meeting on 9/16 that web committee meeting on 9/8 was a meeting of discernment.

Technology Assessment

·  In this meeting we again discussed how to adequately measure how much food is being distributed and the impact of that distribution in regards to smaller agencies in the SNA system. One of the ideas discussed was to hire a part time outreach agent to go out to the smaller agencies build relationships and/ or offer services that would ease their reporting. One goal of the web committee is to streamline reporting for all agencies.

·  In order to understand the technological infrastructure (computers/browsers, operating system) of all of the SNA Partner Agencies, the Web Committee discussed again the prospect of doing a technology assessment of each agency and what the cost would be associated with an assessment. There are a lot of partner agencies who have inadequate/outdated technology that make it very difficult to collaborate fully through the web portal. Additionally, this older technology may preclude them from tracking their impact as well- which makes reporting less reliable.

·  Discussed again the use of an intern from NKU College of Informatics; Mike Delaney has a contact when the time is appropriate to bring an intern on board.

·  Discussed collaborating with the marketing committee on getting the word out on Safety Net as a resource tool for our agencies and members; potentially bringing together the marketing, food and web committees for a special meeting regarding how all agencies report.

·  Discussed United Ways Application; UW app seems to be tailored to areas.
