Enhancement Requests
USAACE
ER 15451 – Enhancement Request to Add New Fields to the Bio Data Interface
ER Description: “Users request new fields to the Bio Data interfaces. New fields are: RFO Date = make as DATE_DA type and Special Assignment Consideration = make type like current "Special Circumstances" place fields in FIELD_CATG_NAME = Military.”
· This change adds a date field, “BOLC/WOBC CIF Date”, to the “ACFT Selection Pref“ section of the “Resource Details” tab of Person Manager.
AETC
ER 14117 – Add Additional Information to the Tests Section of Stan/Eval Setup->Requisite Details
ER Description: “Lt Col Rick at Holloman would like additional information displayed when picking a test(s) for a Stan/Eval Requisite. It is difficult to know which test to pick if the names are identical. He suggested more columns, ellipses with an information dialog, or a popup when hovering over each test. He would like to see org, version, and description, if possible. This will apply to JPATS as well.”
· In the Stan/Eval Setup application, under Requisite Details/Available Tests, additional columns were added to the display to add granularity when choosing available tests. These additional columns are Organization, Version, and Description.
ER 14834 – Flight Authorization Report Not Categorizing Cancellation Properly
ER Description: “The SARMS office contacted us stating that the flight authorization report was totaling the cancellation reason code "CB" as "Other" instead of "Maintenance Non-Delivery". On a side note, we have since requested that the reason be categorized as "Supply Non-Delivery". I worked with Joe on this issue last week and the code is only looking at for certain reasons and if the reason is not in the list, then it will categorize it as "Other". The SARM office would like it to total them correctly.”
· On the ARMS Flight Authorization Summary page the cancellation code of ‘CB’ is now properly calculated, tallied, and displayed.
ER 15321 – Update 781 to Include HOSM Code
ER Description: “COURTNEY, DEVIN L SSgt USAF AETC 3 FTS/DOO called because they are having issues getting the 781's to display the HOSM code when obtaining a physical print-out. User states the HOSM code does get populated in the 781 from but it disappears when being printed.”
· On the Flight Record 781 and AFTO 781 Reports the HOSM code is now displayed in Block 4 following the Unit Charged for Flying Hours output for JPATS databases when printed.
ER 15980 – Form 8 Default to No-Date Instead of Today’s Date Ground Requisites
ER Description: “I've seen this bite guys multiple times this year. When a SEFE fills out a Form 8, TIMS will default to today's date for manually input ground requisites (testing or emergency procedure sims). If we let this default to blank, it would force the SEFE to put in the date the requisite was accomplished.”
· When a Manual Requisite attempt is initiated the date will default to null which will require the user to select the appropriate date.
ER 16087 – Convert Qualification Manager Sub-Components to C# (Windows 10 Compatibility)
ER Description: “This effort would entail converting the legacy C++ or VB "Qualification Manager" sub-components to the modern, C# .NET framework utilized by TIMS/GTIMS. These components to be converted include: Periods, Activities, Qualifications, and Promote (Publish). This would assist in ensuring Windows 10 compatibility.”
· Within System Manager, under Other Utilities, is a new component called Qualifications Manager which is converting much of the legacy Qualification Manager components including Expiration Periods, Activity and Qualifications, and Currencies definitions along with Publishing operations. The converted features utilize the current look and feel of other tools within the product and will be familiar to the end-user.
· The Main Browser now launches the converted Qualifications Manager in place of the legacy version. The legacy Qualification Manager still ships with the product but must be manually launched from the installation directory to access remaining features not converted in this release. Future releases may convert the remaining features and deprecate the legacy Qualifications Manager application.

ER 14958 – GTIMS ESD-STAN EVAL Ground Requisite Prefix 3/1 Behavior
ER Description: “User reported a problem with a failed Ground Requisite on the Form 8 not prefixing the overall evaluation with a 3/1. It was verified through STAN EVAL Setup that the C-17A PLT IP Closed Book requisite was configured to Prefix with a 3 if it failed. The problem was isolated to if a Ground requisite is manually assigned to a Form 8 then the Prefix 3/1 will not prefix the evaluation Overall Grade. If the requisite is assigned automatically when creating the Form 8 then it will prefix 3/1 correctly upon failure of the associate Ground requisite. The only way to correct the issue is to edit the Form 8 and have the system automatically assign the requisites. Once this is complete then the user can remove the assigned attempt and link back the tests in question to the requisite. Then the Form 8 will prefix the evaluation based on the failed ground requisite.”
· In the Stan/Eval Management, and its associated Wizard, a Qualification can be associated with a manual ground requisite and the user can choose to prefix the qual-level with a 3 if the requisite is failed.
ER 14959 – ER – Instr Eval Type Automatically Selected When Creating a Form 8
ER Description: “When a Form 8 is added on the Stan/Eval management page for a crewmember who is an instructor, "Instructor" is selected by default as an affected qual on the Form 8 details box. Unless the person creating the Form 8 unchecks it, the Form 8 will be created with INSTR as an affected qual, which is incorrect in 99% of all cases. It would be preferable if "INSTR" is set to unchecked and can be selected if appropriate for that evaluation.”
· In the Stan/Eval Management application, when creating a Form 8, the default behavior to check Non-Expiring Qualifications including Instructor Qualifications was removed. Now these qualifications are not checked by default and user interaction is required to select the appropriate qualifications.
ER 15031 – Enhance ARMS Interface (Send Training Accomplishments) to Include “Accomplishment Method.”
ER Description: “Users are requesting a modification to the ARMS Interface page (Send Training Accomplishments) of Ops Manager to include a column for "Accomplishment Method". AMC has recently required ARMS inputs to include an accomplishment method for all completed training events. The SARMS would like to have this information displayed for their review prior to pushing accomplishments to ARMS.”
· In the Ops Manager ARMS Interface application the Accomplishment Method is displayed from the Send Training Accomplishment and Task Log tabs. This is a display only and no additional data is transmitted to ARMS.
ER 15166 – Indication of Updated Linkable Template to Student and Instructor
ER Description: “Add an indication on assigned templates for student and instructor to see when the student was assigned a linkable template that later had updates but the student hasn't yet started the template and the option to 'auto-close obsolete assignments that have not yet started' is not selected.”
· When opening a person’s assigned Task-Based Training template for grading if the status of the template is “Assigned”, “Pending Assigned”, or “Inactive”, and if the template has a linked template for which a newer version exists, the software notifies the user of the existence of the updated template. A yellow warning icon will pop up displaying next to the template status on the grading form as well as a tooltip stating “There is a newer version of this template”. Once the template status changes to “In Progress” the warning icon is no longer displayed.
ER 15236 – Implement Reports Enhancement
ER Description: “The 4327a report already had a backside when created in GTIMS; however, the backside of the 4327a report will have the additional capability to add Mission Essential Personnel (MEP) and to save attachments of the MEP letter. Also, we will now store the reports for later retrieval. Additionally, we will implement the capability to create and use a locally customized set of remarks for use on the 4327a. We will also implement a new report in GTIMS, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Travel Orders AF IMT 1631, which will be created using a wizard to streamline the data entry on the form. We will provide the ability to attach a specific NATO Travel Orders to a Form 4327a to save and retrieve the associated documents.”
· New application has been added to Ops Manager to allow users to create, edit, and print NATO Travel Orders. This application supports the loading of personnel from existing Schedule Lines, loading personnel from the database via a Person Picker, and adding ad hoc personnel.
· Flight Authorization Report Wizard has additional tabs that allow for the add, update, and deletion of Mission Essential Personnel (MEP), file attachments for MEP of file type PDF or DOCX, and association of a Flight Authorization report with NATO travel orders. Report output now contains a listing of MEP and includes any NATO travel orders if either has been assigned and includes the MEP attachment files if report destination is PDF.
ER 15337 – Request the Ability to Have a Remarks Field Added to the Letter of Xs
ER Description: “User at 459 AS at Yokota requested the ability to have a remarks column for Letter of Xs. This would need to be edited in LoX Management and displayed in Letter of Xs, once it is signed. The unit wants a remarks field for every name listed on the letter of X’s. It would be a text field only.”
· Live Letter of X forms now have a column which allows the adding, updating, and deletion of individual comments for each person listed. Snapshot or signed Letter of X forms show the comments column but do not allow for editing.
ER 15371 – Ability to See Source Question Bank for Questions on Tests With Randomly Selected Questions
ER Description: “MSgt Frye is requesting that there be a quick way to locate which QDB a test question is being pulled from. When the test questions are randomly selected from multiple QDBs it is somewhat time consuming. When reviewing the test each question has a reference. It would be nice if each question also showed which QDB it is coming from.”
