Device Management

CloneNGoTM

CloneNGoTM is a license free application that ships on every CN51 running Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 that greatly simplifies and expedites configuration. This powerful application will clone all settings from a fully configured “master” unit, to a completely un-configured “client” unit, via an 802.11 connection with minimal user intervention. The CloneNGo User Guide is located at:

Windows Mobile 6.5 Gesture Support

Gesturing is now supported by WM 6.5. This means that applications using listbox, listview, treeview, webview, or tab control will need to be aware of how the Windows GUI interprets the gestures. Please visit the Developer’s Forum (community.intermec.com) for more information.

CN50 Accessories

The CN51 has been designed so that it is compatible with most previous generation CN50 accessories. This includes batteries, snap-on adapters, and charge docks. Note: original CN50 batteries are not “smart” batteries so information provided to the Device Health Monitoring will be limited to charge state only.

Best Practices

1.  When using Bluetooth audio and Wi-Fi together, you can improve performance by configuring the Wi-Fi connection profile to connect to an available Access Point. It is also recommended to limit the radio band to only the band that you are using. When not using Wi-Fi, turn off the

802.11 radio to maximize Bluetooth performance.

2.  When using CloneNGo, it’s best to have Funk Security enabled.

3.  For enhanced performance, we recommend that you close the camera application once you are no longer using it.

4.  Once you start Sensor Calibration, it’s best to complete the process prior to closing the application. Closing the application too early may cause calibration settings not to be saved. If sensor calibration appears incorrect (slow screen rotation, etc.) use the Sensor Calibration App to repeat the calibration process.
