On page 113 of the 2003-2004 Graduate Catalog:
CHANGE: A n t h r o p o l o g y : The Master of Arts in Anthropology requires 24 semester hours of graduate course work and a minimum of six hours of thesis credit. The 24 course hours must include Laboratory Methods in Anthropology (ANTH 572), Anthropological Theory and Methods (ANTH 601), and the Anthropology Seminar (ANTH 651, 652).

4. On a motion by Oliphant-Ingham seconded by Dr. Rimoldi, the following program changes from the School of Education were approved.

a. Catalog changes for the M.Ed. degree in elementary education, secondary education and special education.

On page 152of the 2003-2004 Graduate Catalog:
Change: For the emphasis in elementary education, other requirements include and additional 3 hours from any foundations area (EDEL 519, EDEL 621, EDFD 609, COUN 601, EDCI 557, COUN 603, EDRD 501, or other approved courses from either inside or outside the School of Education); 15 hours of specialized coursework from one emphasis area (ether math/science or language arts/reading methods); and Clinical Projects (EDEL 630) (3 credit hours). An additional 6 credit hours of elective coursework is required.

To: For the emphasis in elementary education, other requirements include 15 hours of specialized coursework from one emphasis area (either math/science or language arts/reading methods); and an additional 6 credit hours of elective coursework is required.

Change: LAW 635. Criminal Procedure 635. (3-4 hours) Criminal procedure before trial: arrest, search, and seizure, police interrogation, preliminary hearing, grand jury, bail, indictment, discovery, publicity, and fair trial.

A study of constitutional restrictions on criminal investigative practice which typically precede institutional formal judicial proceedings, with special emphasis upon search and seizure, interrogation, right to counsel at the pretrial stage, and operation of the exclusionary rule.

Resale royalties, moral rights, the right of publicity, and other related doctrines also will be discussed.
