HISTORY

Michigan’s State Senate Investigation of Michigan State University’s Labor and Industrial Relations (LIR) Center and its Labor Education Program for Creating a Film, A State Labor Body, “To Foster Class War Between the Business Community and Labor:” a study of the 1961 LIR Center – Michigan government interaction some termed a “witch hunt,” and a brief review of the subsequent evolution of M.S.U.’s Center into and as a School of LIR, 1953-2003.

The Other Autoworkers Union, the UAW, and Auto Parts Suppliers: a study of the North American auto supply and parts’ industry, workers, and unions, focused on the UAW-CIO (and the UAW, AFL-CIO, Independent Parts and Suppliers [IPS] department) and the UAW-AFL, aka the Allied Industrial Workers Union, AFL-CIO, 1935-2005.
