Guaranty Fund
The Guaranty Fund balance for December 31, 2010 is $599,443.02.
MHIC StateStat Report
Helen Johnson, Assistant Executive Director provided the Commission with the 2010 StateStat Report showing all activity for the Fiscal Year.
Sunset Review Program Extension and Program Evaluation-SB236
The Commission supports the Secretary’s recommendation to convert the contractor’s license into a tiered licensing system by 2012 and eliminate the Sub-Contractor’s license category.
Reportable Complaints
Commissioner Jumalon made a motion that all open complaints are made reportable. The Commission unanimously agreed.
Fred Willig, Investigator
Fred Willig, Lead Investigator with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission retired on January 31, 2011. The Commissioners thanked Investigator Willig for the great job that he’s done for the Commission and the Citizens of the State of Maryland. Investigator Willig has also worked with the Plumbing and HVAC Board.
