Role / Lead Volunteer for Membership Growth and RetentionWhat is the purpose of the role? / To engage and encourage volunteers in areas of membership growth and retention. To act as a lead point of contact for Girlguiding Ulster.
To work within the strategic objectives of Girlguiding Ulster.
Who appoints and supports this role? / The Chief Commissioner
Length of appointment / 3 years
Requirements / Must be an active member of Girlguiding Ulster aged 18 or over.
Other information / Will be required to attend meetings at Lorne and at Girlguiding Headquarters in London.
Reasonable travel and other expenses will be paid.
What will I do in this role? / · Support the development of project plans for membership growth and retention in line with Girlguiding Ulster strategic plan and priorities.
· Support and offer guidance to counties to help them to understand their priorities and targets for membership growth.
· Promote and champion good practice, national initiatives in membership growth and support implementation at a local level.
· Contribute to and develop events, resources and initiatives to encourage, support and share good practice in membership growth.
· Attend Girlguiding membership growth meetings and teleconference calls.
· Be willing to develop good overall knowledge of membership growth and retention, including practical challenges within Girlguiding Ulster.
