Tentative Schedule:
Note: There will be no open tumbling because each team will be given 8 minutes in the warm-up gym which should be plenty of time to warm-up ALL skills.
4:00Doors open and teams will check in

4:30Optional Music Check (upper gym)
4:45Judges meeting (location TBD)
5:00Team Warm-up Time Begins (lower gym)
5:15Opening: National Anthem, Welcome of teams
5:20 Competition Begins (in main gym)
8:00Awards no later than 8:00!!
*Teams will be split into two divisions: empire and metro division (not small or large). There will be one League Champion awarded for each division.
*JV teams will not be performing for a league championship title just as an exhibition.
Important Notes:
- Spectator Fee:$5.00
- Each team will perform a routine not to exceed 2 minutes and 45 seconds total which includes up to 15 seconds of downtime leaving a maximum of 2 minutes and 30 seconds of routine. Of that time, only a maximum of 2 minutes may be performed to music. Please see the website listed below for any and all rule changes.
- Time will begin with the first word, beat of music, or movement of the squad, once you are set in the competition area.
- When your name is called, please take the floor, set up signs, poms, etc. The only props allowed are signs, poms and megaphones.
- Please have your music on a smart device as a CD player will not be provided in the warm-up area. However, a back-up of your music is recommended.
- All teams will be required to bring a copy of your music license to the event. Teams that do not turn this in at the time of registration will not be allowed to compete at the event.
- All coaches will be required to submit tracking sheets found on the nyscja website, under nysphsaa scoring materials.
- Please inform cheerleaders to leave valuables at home, we (the host school or the League) will not be responsible for lost or stolen items. Secure locations may not be available for storage of belongings.
*The National Federation Rules will be used as guidelines for judging and there significant changes this year. Please note we are using the NYSPHSAA score sheet, brand new scoring rubric, and NYSPHSAA deductions sheet this year and they will be/are available for download on the Section III Cheerleading website.
