Throughout this marking period we have been using basic recipes and preparing them. Now it is time to explore and learn about where some of the foodsoriginated fromin the world. You will gain comprehension of a country, including the land, food, and people. You will also discover new kitchen tool and cooking terms used for your countries recipes.

Your task is to select a country and present it to the class through ONE of these methods:

In order to complete this project you will need to:

Select a country

Search offline and online resources for information

Answer all of the questions on the worksheets provided

Choose one recipe from your country

Research the history of the recipe or main food ingredient, if it’s associated with a holiday/festival

Define in the recipe 2 cooking utensils (ex: peeler) and 3 cooking terms (bake, mix, ect.)

Create a Poster, Powerpoint,Infographic or PowToons of your country

Teach the class about your country
