Terms & Conditions

1. Course Bookings

Bookings can be made by phone, email or online via our website: www.actionfareham.org.uk, top tab support for groups and scroll down to training.

2. Provisional Bookings

A provisional booking may be taken pending a deposit or payment as above, but this will not guarantee your place on the course. Bookings secured as in section 3 and 4 have priority over provisional bookings.

3. Payment Terms

Our standard payment terms are full payment or 50% deposit of the total price taken at the time of booking to secure your course place unless otherwise agreed. The remaining balance will become due no later than 14 days before the commencement of your course. Late Bookings made within the 14 days before the commencement of your course we will require full payment

4. Payment Invoice

See section 3 Payment Terms. A course will be held as a provisional booking and an invoice will be issued and sent to you or your employer. Please note we will require details of the organisation to be invoiced. If your organisation requires a purchase order please quote this directly when booking. You can only pay an Invoice by BACS, cash or cheque. Please ensure that you use the invoice number as payment reference. Invoices cannot be paid by PayPal.

5. Payment by Cheque

See section 3 Payment Terms. Posted Cheques must have a covering note with attendee name and course date. Cheques must be payable to: Community Action Fareham

6. Payment by PayPal

If booking online you can pay by PayPal using the link on the booking confirmation page and full payment of the course is required.

7. Cancellations

If you do not attend a booked place or fail to cancel within 14 days of the course commencement date, you or your organisation will be invoiced for the full cost of that place, unless otherwise agreed.

8. Once booked

A booking confirmation will be sent to you within a week of receipt of your booking form. A reminder will be sent approximately one week before the commencement of the course. This will include joining instructions, location details and a map.

Community Action Training reserves the right to cancel courses where there are insufficient attendees. In this event full refunds will be given, unless an alternative date or course is agreed.

9. Free courses

We would appreciate you letting us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend to ensure we only run courses for a viable number of people, and allow us to contact anyone on a waiting list and offer them a place.

10. Absence

If for any reason you are unable to attend a session through illness or unforeseen circumstances please contact us as soon as possible.

11. Meeting your needs

Our booking form asks for your specific learning needs. This may be physical access for people with mobility problems, sight or hearing needs, a language problem such as dyslexia or other issues affecting your ability to participate fully. Please help us to meet your requirements by letting us know in advance.

12. Equality & Diversity

We value diversity and we are committed to making training inclusive and welcoming for everyone. All learners can expect the same high standard of service, regardless of gender, marital status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability or race.

13. Feedback

We are keen to meet our learners’ expectations, so we value feedback on our administration, content and delivery of the training courses. You will be asked to complete a feedback form at the end of the course.

14. Complaints

15. Teaching and learning strategies

Teaching is normally in small groups and learners will at times be asked to work with a partner or independently depending on the course content.

Our booking form asks what you wish to achieve by the end of the course. Our trainers will try and tailor the content to meet your needs.

16. Safer Learning

We are committed to ensuring your wellbeing, security and providing a safe environment. You have the right to feel safe where you learn. Your responsibilities are to respect other people’s rights to safety; not to hurt or abuse others; and not to threaten to hurt or abuse others.

17. Data Protection

Your personal data is protected by the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) 2003. We aim to exceed our legal obligations by following best practice and reviewing our procedures regularly. Your information will not be passed to other organisations, except as required under any funding agreement, this would be made clear in any paperwork you complete.

·  arrangements for learning support, if required

·  help to access your course if you have a disability or learning difficulty

·  how we can ensure a safe learning environment and how you can contribute to this

During your course we will ask you:

·  to take part in regular reviews of your progress

·  whether you have the right level and type of support to achieve on your course

·  whether you want to discuss any safety issues or anything else you feel concerned about

·  to comment on how you think your course might be developed and improved to help you and other learners

At the end of the course you will have the opportunity to provide feedback on all aspects of your learning experience.
