Refunds policy

This returns and refunds policy is in accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive which came into force in October 2000 and is part of UK law under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. This law applies to all transactions within the UK where a consumer does not meet the vendor. Contracts between businesses are not governed by these regulations.

Customer rights

In accordance with the law, you have a seven day ‘cooling off period’ in which you have the right to cancel your course and return ALL the training materials supplied (un-used and still in re-saleable condition) to receive a refund. You do not have to give a reason for cancelling your order. We are obliged to return your payment within 30 days of cancellation, although an administration charge of £10 and any delivery/postage costs incurred will be deducted.

How to cancel

Should you wish to cancel your order within the seven day ‘cooling off’ period, please contact us on 01799 544014. You will then be asked to return the training materials. You are advised to pack the goods carefully to avoid damage and send them back to the NCTJ by recorded delivery, registered post, or by courier. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery. We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged during transit. Remember to include your name and address with the returned goods.

Refunds for unwanted goods

Providing the unwanted training materials are received by us in an un-used and re-saleable condition within seven working days of delivery, your payment will be refunded in full. Orders placed by credit or debit card will be refunded directly to your credit or debit card and orders paid by cheque will be refunded by cheque. All refunds will be made within 30 days of return of the training materials. After the seven-day ‘cooling off’ period, no refunds will be given.
