Earning Your Minor in Communication Studies /sjsu.edu/comm
You must complete 18 units, with at least 12 upper-division units, in Communication Studies to earn a minor in the department. You may count up to 6 units of Core GE and/or SJSU Studies coursework (e.g, COMM 20, COMM 100W) toward the minor. You may not count COMM 101C for the minor. If a course is taken at another institution, indicate the school and its course information in the space provided. If a course is in progress, list as “IP” in the Grade Column. Only 2 GE (Core GE and SJSU Studies) courses may be counted toward both GE and minor requirements. You may count no more than 1 unit of COMM 80 or COMM 91J toward the minor and no more than 3 units of CR/NC coursework. You may not count COMM 101C for the minor.
