Grading Policy:
The grading policy in Biology will follow the LPISD grading policy.
Tutorials:
v Morning Tutorials > 7:30-7:50 AM - Tues., Wed., & Thurs.
v Afternoon Tutorials > 3:05 - 3:35 PM - Tues., Wed., & Thurs.
v Friday Morning Tutorials available by appointment only
Supplies:
· 1 spiral notebook – wide ruled or college ruled
· 1 Three ring binder – 1 ½” or 2”
· pencil or pen (pens may be any color except red or pink)
· highlighters will come in handy but are not required
Classroom Expectations:
v Students must show respect for themselves and others, including school property and the property and space of others.
* BULLYING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!
v Any visitors to the class will be treated with the utmost respect.
* Students are to remain quiet while Ms. Parks or others are speaking to the class.
v Students need to use proper manners while at school.
v Students must be on time to class and have all materials ready when the tardy bell rings.
v There will be NO cell phones out during class or labs unless directed by Ms. Parks for educational use. This means no texting etc.
v Students will not leave class and must remain seated until dismissed by Ms. Parks.
v Students must have their homework completed and turned in on time (refer to grading policy) - Students must do their own work.
v It is the student’s responsibility to make up any missed assignments.
v Students must follow all lab safety procedures during labs, including wearing closed-toe shoes and properly fitting clothing.
v No food or drink will be allowed in the science lab.
Keys To Success In Biology
1. Be in class every day.
2. Do all assignments and do them yourself.
3. Learn and use the terminology.
4. Do not wait until the night before a test to study.
5. Develop a small group to help you study.
6. Utilize all available resources if you are struggling.

** The Internet has almost limitless resources available for extra help, extra practice, explanations, videos, etc.
