2018 Goals
1.Evaluate and modify the current elementary curriculum to reflectnew mission. Solicit feedback from past program participants: school principals, teachers, parents, students andvolunteers.
2.Develop and enhance programs to reflect new mission. Coordinatewith Design Voice and other committees to establish a regular annual calendar of education programs that covers all ages. Determine what support is needed to sustain these programs year afteryear.
3.Develop an Educator/Mentor Training program and offer co-teaching opportunities for new educators and architects. Learn from existing models of successful youth education programs, such as NYC, Seattleor Michigan.
4.Establish a goal for relaunch / school participation to begin September 2019. For 2018, support pilot programs and pop-up workshops (Ex. Box CIty, Clint Small Middle School STEAM Camp or Hip Hop Architecture)that will engage with the community and broadcast Architecture:K-12.
5.Research financial aspects of this idea: income and expenses (i.e.pro- forma), tuition, paid instructors, grants,scholarships.
