School Breakfast at JLMS!
Answers to FAQ’s you may have
- It’s easy!Instead of running around in the morning trying to make sure your children eat a healthy meal, let us do the work. They can get a great breakfast at school, and there will be no dishes for you to wash!
- When and where? A breakfast cart will be set up in the hallway near the school kitchen/bus entrance so that as students arrive at school they can quickly grab a school breakfast, to eat as they wait for class to begin. The cart will be set up from 6:50 - 7:20 a.m.
- It’s affordable! If qualified, your child may be able to get breakfast at a reduced price or for free. If your child already eats a free or reduced price lunch, they automatically qualify for a free or reduced price (.30) breakfast;otherwise the price for a full breakfast is only $1.50.
- Forgot to send a snack? Items featured are mostly pre-packaged items that students could save for snack time. Students will also be able to purchase individual itemsbut these items will be sold with ala-carte prices ranging from .50 -1.25 per item. Your account must be open for ala-carte purchases in order for your child to buy individual items. The best deal for your child will still be to purchase a full breakfast!
- It’s convenient! The price of breakfast will be deducted from your family food service account; so please make sure that your account maintains a positive balance. No purchases can be made if you have a negative account balance.
- It’s tasty! Students are offered a variety of choices of fruit, juice, whole grain-rich items, and low fat or fat free dairy items. These breakfasts are well balanced and follow standards backed by the best nutritional science available. A menu is available so you can view what your child may be eating at school.
