Reporting to / Finance & Resources Manager
Hours
Salary / 16 hrs per week. Ideally over 3 half days including Tuesday and Thursday.
£9.00 per hour. Actual salary £7,488(FTE £16,380)

Role Overview

Reporting to the Finance & Resources Manageryou will be responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the charity. Using Sage 50 Accounting and internal systems, i.e. Excel and Word. Your duties would include undertaking a variety of accounting support tasks and administration.

Main Responsibilities and duties:

  1. Overall Job Purpose

This role reports to the Finance & Resources Managerand has 3 main areas of responsibility:

Finance & Payroll

General support to the Finance & Resources Manager including the following specific tasks:

  • Processing sales and purchase invoices. Ensuring all invoices are raised and processed on time as required
  • Dealing with invoice queries
  • Controlling credit and reviewing aged debtors - chasing debt
  • Dealing with incoming cheques/cash; posting onto Sage and prepare for banking
  • Managing petty cash transactions
  • Sorting incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries
  • Filing and maintaining ledgers
  • General administration as required

Community Transport

  • Provide general administration and support activities to the Community Transport team and Community Transport Manager, including bookings and call handling.

Operations

  • Providing a variety of general administration duties
  • Develop and coordinate a central system for managing, monitoring and reviewing the utilities and phone systems and other building service contracts.
  • Working with suppliers to achieve the best terms for the organisation
