II PRIZE AND POTTERY CERAMICS BIENNIAL "VILA DE LA GALERA" 2010
BASES
1. The City Council convened the Second Galera Ceramics and Pottery Prix Vila de la Galera ", biannual, open to all the artists and artisans who wish to participate.
This award was created in 2008, is a biennial basis and, for the year 2010 will take two forms: Ceramics and Pottery. The objectives of the contest are to promote creativity, spreading the artistic work, and relate the art and craft building. It will be open to all trends and ceramist materials that are capable of developing its last creative phase in an oven.
2. It may participate individually or collectively.
3. Each contestant or group may submit only one work, even though it may consist of one or more pieces, which will form a single composition with a single title.
4. Excluded from the contest so the pieces made of industrial and which are submitted to other competitions. The works submitted must be totally unprecedented.
5. The works may not exceed 2 m linear and does not accept any work that does not measure at least 50 cm in length or width.
6. In order to participate, and contestants must register through two means: by email and by post sending a letter to Terracotta, exhibiting Art of Terrisse, Carrer Sant Llorenç, 36 43,515 La Galera. Montsià (Tarragona).
It should include the following information:
PERSONAL DATA: Name, address, town, zip code, province, country, NIF, place and date of birth, telephone, email and resume.
DETAILS OF THE WORK PRESENTED: title, explanation, steps, technique and materials. Mode to which it presents: Ceramics and Pottery. Other information of interest.
In addition, I attach two photographs of the work presented in 15 x 20 cm, on a neutral background, in formed paper and the digital image of the work with high resolution by email or on CD.
The deadline for submission of entries will end on 28 February 2010.
7. All documentation submitted will become part of the documentary archive on Ceramics and Pottery Prix Vila de la Galera ", run by Terracotta, exhibiting Art of Terrisse of Galera.
8. From the recorded works and the documentation submitted, the jury will select the finalists between 1 and 15 March 2010. In this period, and notify the selected bidders.
9. The works selected as finalists will be physically sent to Terracotta, exhibiting Art of the Galera Terrisse before April 19, 2010, Wednesday to Friday from 9.30 to 13.30, and Saturdays , Sundays and holidays from 12'00 to 14'00 hours. The breach of this term will lead to the disqualification of the work.
10. The works will be sent to the City of La Galera with postage paid and appropriate packaging. The City Council will take security measures at their disposal to better preservation of the works, but is not liable for any theft, loss or breakage during transport.

12. The Jury is comprised of recognized experts in the world of ceramics, pottery, art and representatives of the sponsors. Its composition will be announced at the time of the awards.
13. An award of 2,000 euros for the best work of specialty ceramics and a prize of 2,000 euros for the best work of the specialty pottery, which apply the withholding tax as stipulated by current legislation. At the discretion of the jury members are eligible for special mention.
14. The finalists will be subject to exposure (in Conference Room 2, temporary exhibition Terracotta, exhibiting Art of the Galera Terrisse), from 29 April to 30 June 2010.
15. The publication of the verdict of the jury and the awards ceremony will take place in the framework of the XVII Exhibition of Pottery La Galera, about 1 May 2010.
16. Winning entries become the property of terracotta material, exhibiting Art of Terrisse of Galera, and will become part of your art. The moral and intellectual property is the author / a.
17. Award winners, the modalities of Ceramics and Pottery, the year following the award shall have the privilege to present their works in the temporary exhibition coinciding with the Terracotta XVIII Pottery Fair in the galley.
18. The winning works will not have to go to pick up by the City of Galera 1 to July 31, 2010, Tuesday to Friday from 9'00 to 13'00 hours and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 12:00 am to 14'00 hours. If after this period the work has not been withdrawn, it is understood that the essay writer / a resignation, and this will become the property of Terracotta, Interpretation Center Pottery La Galera.
19. Participation in the Award carries the implicit transfer of rights of reproducing the image of the selected works and award winners for promotion, dissemination and publicity of the contest, Terracotta Interpretation Center Pottery La Galera, publications and / or cultural activities.
20. The fact participate in the competition implies acceptance of these bases, and the verdict of the jury, which will be final. The Prize, in either of two ways, may be declared void. Any circumstances not covered by these rules will be resolved at the discretion of the jury.
II PREMIO BIENAL DE CERÁMICA Y ALFARERÍA “VILA DE LA GALERA” 2010
BASES
1 . El Ayuntamiento de la Galera convoca el II Premio de Cerámica y Alfarería “Vila de la Galera”, de carácter bienal, abierto a todos los y las artistas y artesanos que deseen participar.
Este premio que se creó el año 2008, és de carácter bienal y, para el año 2010 tendrá dos modalidades: Cerámica y Alfarería. Los objetivos del certamen son fomentar la creatividad, difundir la obra artística, y relacionar la técnica, la creación y la artesanía. Estará abierto a todas las tendencias y materias ceramísticas que sean susceptibles de elaborar su última etapa creativa dentro de un horno.
2. Se podrá participar de forma individual o colectiva.
3. Cada concursante o colectivo sólo podrá presentar una sola obra, pese a que ésta podrá estar formada por una o más piezas, que conformarán una sola composición con un solo título.
4. Quedan excluidas del concurso las piezas realizadas de manera industrial y las que hayan sido presentadas a otros certámenes. Las obras que se presenten tendrán que ser totalmente inéditas.
5. Las obras no podrán exceder de los 2 m lineales y no se aceptará ninguna obra que no mida como mínimo 50 cm de longitud o anchura.
6. Para poder participar, las y los concursantes deben inscribirse a través de dos medios: por correo electrónico a y por correo postal enviando una carta a Terracota, Centre d’Interpretació de la Terrissa, calle Sant Llorenç, 36 43515 La Galera. Montsià (Tarragona).
Se debe incluir la siguiente información:
DATOS PERSONALES: nombre, apellidos, dirección, población, código postal, provincia, país, NIF, lugar y fecha de nacimiento, teléfono, correo electrónico y currículum.
DATOS DE LA OBRA PRESENTADA: título, explicación, medidas, técnica y materiales. Modalidad a la que se presenta: Cerámica oAlfarería.Otras informaciones de interés.
Además, hay que adjuntar dos fotografías de la obra presentada de 15 x 20 cm, sobre fondo neutro, en formado papel, y la imagen digital de la obra con alta resolución por correo electrónico o en CD.
El plazo de presentación de las inscripciones se acabará el 28 de febrero de 2010.
7. Toda la documentación presentada pasará a formar parte del archivo documental sobre el Premio de Cerámica y Alfarería “Vila de la Galera”, gestionado por Terracota, Centre d’Interpretació de la Terrissa de la Galera.
8. A partir de las obras inscritas y de la documentación enviada, el Jurado seleccionará las obras finalistas entre los días 1 y 15 de marzo de 2010. En este periodo se comunicará a las y los concursantes seleccionados.
9. Las obras seleccionadas como finalistas se tendrán de enviar físicamente a Terracota, Centre d’Interpretació de la Terrissa de la Galera, antes del 19 d’abril de 2010, de miércoles a viernes de 9’30 a 13’30 horas, y, sábados, domingos y festivos de 12’00 a 14’00 horas. El incumplimiento de este plazo supondrá la descalificación de la obra.
10. Las obras se tendrán que enviar al Ayuntamiento de la Galera a portes pagados y con un embalaje adecuado. El Ayuntamiento tomará las medidas de seguridad a su alcance para la mejor conservación de las obras, pero no se responsabilizará de ningún hurto, pérdida o rotura durante el transporte.
11. Se tendrá que hacer constar en el exterior del embalaje para el envío:

12. El Jurado estará formado por reconocidos expertos del mundo de la cerámica, la alfarería, las artes plásticas y por representantes de los patrocinadores. Su composición se dará a conocer en el momento de la entrega de los premios.
13. Se otorgará un premio de 2.000 euros para la mejor obra de la especialidad Cerámica y un premio de 2.000 euros para la mejor obra de la especialidad Alfarería, a los que se aplicarán las retenciones fiscales estipuladas por la legislación vigente. A criterio del Jurado, se podrán otorgar menciones especiales.
14. Las obras finalistas serán objeto de exposición (en la Sala 2, sala de exposiciones temporales de Terracota, Centre d’Interpretació de la Terrissa de la Galera) , desde el 29 de abril al 30 de junio de 2010.
15. La publicación del veredicto del Jurado y el acto de entrega de premios tendrán lugar en el marco de la XVII Feria de la Alfarería de la Galera, alrededor del 1 de mayo 2010.
16. Las obras ganadoras quedarán en propiedad material de Terracota, Centre d’Interpretació de la Terrissa de la Galera, y pasarán a formar parte de su fondo de arte. La propiedad moral e intelectual será del autor/a.
17. Los ganadores del Premio, en las modalidades de Cerámica y Alfarería, el año siguiente a la entrega del Premio, tendrán el privilegio de exponer sus obras en la sala de exposiciones temporales de Terracota coincidiendo con la XVIII Feria de la Alfarería de la Galera.
18. Las obras no premiadas se tendrán que pasar a recoger por el Ayuntamiento de la Galera del 1 al 31 de julio del 2010, de martes a viernes de 9'00 a 13'00 horas, y, sábados, domingos y festivos de 12'00 a 14'00 horas. Si pasado este plazo la obra no se ha retirado, se entenderá que el/la autor/a renuncia, y ésta pasará a ser propiedad de Terracota, Centro de Interpretación de la Alfarería de la Galera.
19. La participación en el Premio conlleva implícita la cesión de los derechos de reproducción de la imagen de las obras seleccionadas y premiadas, para promoción, divulgación o publicidad del mismo concurso, de Terracota, Centro de Interpretación de la Alfarería de la Galera, publicaciones y/o actividades culturales.
20. El hecho de participar en el Premio supone la aceptación íntegra de estas bases, así como el veredicto del Jurado, que será inapelable. El Premio, en cualquiera de las dos modalidades, podrá ser declarado desierto. Cualquier circunstancia no prevista en estas bases será resuelta a criterio del Jurado.
