Grade level concerns:
v Kinder: No concerns
v 1st Grade: They are asking for an inclement weather map. Mr. Hatch will get them one. Also, teachers are asking Mr. Hatch if a flyer could go out to parents regarding lunch delivery during instructional times. If lunch could be sent with the student or make sure parents let the student know that lunch will be delivered so there won’t be as many classroom interruptions. Mr. Hatch will put a table up front for lunch boxes and students will stop before lunch to get their lunch. Flyer to be determined.
v 2nd Grade: Wanted to know if courtesy water is also for students. Mr. Hatch said students may get water after school only. Asked Ms. Chavez when she would begin her classes. Ms. Chavez will look at her schedule and let them know.
v 3rd Grade: End-of-day teacher reports are not being delivered to teachers on a daily basis. Mr. Hatch will talk to Attendance clerk. Are students able to purchase items from vending machines during lunch? Mr. Hatch said vending machine is only to be used after school. Vending machine will be disconnected throughout the day until a timer is put on it. Ms. Ayala mentioned that maybe it would be a good thing if we just didn’t have one. Some teachers agreed and others disagreed. Removal of vending machine to be determined.
v 4th Grade: Also concerned about End-of-Day teacher reports not being delivered on a daily basis. They are asking that if there could be a monitor on the crosswalk that is between the parking lot and the side walk on the west parking lot. Ms. Ayala asked Coach Moran to stand there in the morning. They also want to know if monitors can do duty in the morning and not teachers. Ms.
Ayala said no, we need to have teachers out there.
v 5th Grade: 5th Grade was just concerned about announcement time. They want to know if announcement can be made earlier. Mr. Hatch said yes.
v SPED: Concerned about monitors not watching students during lunch time and students getting hurt. Mr. Hatch said he is planning a meeting with the monitors and will voice the concern.
v PE: Coach asked Ms. Ayala because he is a teacher and needs to start class, if he could come in a little early from morning duty. Ms. Ayala said yes, just not Mondays and Fridays since there’s a lot of traffic on those 2 days.
Other concerns:
v Office: No concerns
v Counselor: No concerns
v CIS: Has not received many referrals for Operation school bell so I am assuming all students needs are met. Also, taking referrals for PALS.
v Cafeteria: Monica let teachers know just to fill out the fieldtrip forms so she is prepared and doesn’t make extra food. Also, Erika asked Monica if she could find out if the school is able to sell popcorn during school dances.
