Junior Engineers

Position Summary:

The junior engineer will be part of a team to work directly in a variety of industries and customers in certifying materials, parts and components to applicable equipment codes. This is an entry level position with great exposure and opportunity to grow professionally in an international well respected company.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·  Consults customers on product codes / directives

·  Drafts test and inspection plans to certify materials and pressure equipment products

·  Coordinates off-site inspection activities

·  Evaluates mechanical test results of materials, inspects materials and conducts equipment code shop inspections

·  Witnesses welder’s performance tests and welding procedure qualifications, evaluates non-destructive and destructive test results and certifies personnel and procedures.

·  Certifies materials, parts and components to applicable equipment codes.

·  Participates and conducts equipment code related audits at client sites.

·  Responds certification issues to clients; manages clients through the project phase

·  Willingness to obtain knowledge of European Directives such as PED, ATEX, SPVD, and TPED

·  Willingness to obtain knowledge of EN, DIN and ISO standards.


Requirements include, but are not limited to:

·  2+ years experience in materials technology sciences or within pressure equipment manufacturing industries or other process related industries and products / systems – pressure vessels, boilers, heat exchangers, steam boilers, gas cylinders, piping / pipelines, storage tanks, pumps, as well as pressure vessel accessories such as safety valves, relief valves, regulators, and rupture disks.

·  Background in product testing (performance, safety, functional, material, applications engineering) and / or certification a plus.

·  Ability to apply and understand advanced concepts of mechanical engineering

·  Familiarity with welding standards (ASME & EN) a plus

·  Knowledge of mechanical and chemical material testing basics

·  Ability to read and understand technical drawings and diagrams

·  Willingness to travel extensively 70% plus

·  Minimum AS / BS in engineering or comparable degree
