Photographs:

From time to time, Wild Things Drama takes photographs and video footage of classes, rehearsals and shows. This material is intended to be used for our gallery areas on the website, on our social media pages and for publicity purposes – copies will also from time to time be available for sale to family members and friends who come to see our shows.

Wild Things Drama recognises the need to ensure the welfare and safety of all young people.

We will not permit photographs, video or other images of young people to be used without the consent of the parents/carers and children.

Wild Things Drama will take all steps to ensure these images are used solely for the purposes they are intended. If you become aware that these images are being used inappropriately you should inform (Club or organisation) immediately.

I ______(parent/carer) consent to Wild Things Drama photographing

or videoing my child/ren‘s involvement in drama activities, rehearsals and shows.

Health and Safety at Drama
It is extremely important to us at Wild Things that young people are safe at all times. Here are a few Health and Safety tips (in no particular order) that we would like you to look through and make your child aware of before attending drama classes:

1.Always make sure to sign in before every class
(This way we have an accurate register to refer to in case of any emergencies).

2. Younger children (under 11) must not leave the building without a responsible adult
(Wild Things staff will keep all younger children at the hall until an adult arrives to collect them).

3. Younger children (under 11) must ask a member of Wild Things staff before going to the toilet
(so either younger children can be accompanied, or so we know where you are).

4. No students allowed in the kitchen area.

5. No climbing on stacks of chairs/furniture or up on windowsills.

6. Do not use the stage area unless you are told to do so by a member of Wild Things staff – DO NOT
jump off staging, but walk slowly, or use the steps if provided.

7. Please wear appropriate footwear to class/clothing – drama is a physical activity! (pumps, trainers are good – ugg boots, sandals, heels are not appropriate and you may be asked to remove them and work barefoot). Comfortable (not new or expensive) clothing such as leggings / joggers and t-shirts are recommended for rehearsals and craft activities where clothes could get dirty and/or damaged.

8. If a Wild Things drama coach raises her/his hand, please stop what you are doing immediately and pay attention. This will allow us to attend to anyone who may be hurt and avoid further injuries. It also allows us to clearly give students instructions when this is necessary (be it instructions for a fun activity or a fire exit).

9. In case of a fire, do not run, but follow a Wild Things drama coach in single file to the nearest fire exit In the unlikely case that a Wild Things drama coach is not visible, make your way to the nearest fire exit and around the building to the car park. All students must wait in the car park whilst a register is taken and it has been confirmed that the building is safe to return to. If the building is unsafe, then a Wild Things coach will call a parent/guardian so students can be collected.

10. All parents must fill in a registration form with up-to-date contact details and medical/dietary requirements for each student. In the case of a medical emergency, a member of Wild Things staff will dial 999 and also call the parent/guardian whose details are on file. In any case where an ambulance is called, a member of Wild Things staff will accompany any child when a parent is not available to do so. All other students will remain at the drama session with the remaining member of staff. It is assumed that Wild Things staff have the permission of a parent/carer to give the go-ahead for emergency medical treatment should the parent/carer not be available to contact at the time.

11.All children must be toilet-trained before being left at drama without a parent/guardian. Any children who are not toiled trained must have a parent/guardian present at all times.

12.Parents must arrive in good time to collect their child from class. In the event that a delay occurs, please contact Nancy on 07891908912. Children will be kept on the premises until a parent/guardian arrives. Please note that this should be only under exceptional circumstances.

I have read and understood the above Health and Safety details
