The Artsitsworkhouse Open is an opportunity for artists to submit their work for an exhibition ina unique and inspiring setting in Artistsworkhouse Gallery and Studios, Studley, Warwickshire. The Gallery is located in a beautiful former needle making factory.
Eligibility of work:
Work produced in any mediumis welcome, including painting, drawing, print, sculpture, textiles and photography.
- Work should be portable by one person and not exceed 1.5m in any direction
All work submitted must be original and the artistholds all moral and intellectual property rights in that work.
Entry fee:
A maximum of 4 works per may be submitted at £10 per work.
- Payments made by cash/cheque, payable to Artistsworkhouse
- Direct Bank Transfer to HSBC: Artistsworkhouse sort code 40-38-07 A/c 72172100.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you enter your reference as one word in capitals. This being your SURNAME plus INITIALS/AC. For example, HARRISDL/AC.
Entry fee is not refundable
Submission:
All preliminary judging is via photographic images. One image of each piece entered EITHER a jpeg sent via email OR a photograph sent with the completed registration form. Please send as good a quality image as possible.

Labels:
All work should be clearly labelled with the artist’s name, address, title of work, and price. If applicable, the top of the work should be indicated.
Fixings:
All work should be submitted ready to hang: D rings (no mirror plates)Clip or metal frames cannot be accepted.
Sales:
The artists should indicate the sale price or ‘not for sale’ on the Entry Form.The sale price should include 35% commission which will be deducted by Artistsworkhouse. If work is sold the buyer will make the payment in full to Artistsworkhouse and the artist will beasked to invoice Artistsworkhouse for the remainder of the sale price. The work will remain on display until the end of the exhibition.
Insurance:
All artwork should be insured by the artist.
Images and information:
The artist agrees to allow Artistsworkhouse to reproduce their work and to use information on the entry form for no fee as long as this is in connection with the exhibition.
Selection:
Selection will take place by an independent panel of judges and the judges’ decision is final. Judges will be announced shortly.

- Overall winner -prize of £250. Sponsored by The France Brodeur Young Artist Award
- Local artists prize has been kindly donated by Studley Parish Council (artist living or working in Studley)
- Visitor’s choice prize sponsored by Chrome Yellow Arts
Exhibition launch:
There will be a launchevening for the Artistsworkhouse Open on Friday 16th June 2017. All artists who submit work to the Open are welcome to attend and bring guests with them.
