Warm up

Warm ups will be in our assigned lanes with your coaches. You will also be seeing Shark swimmers (13-14 age group) helping to work with the kids. They will help give feedback and help prep the kids for the meet. This will be great interaction between our younger athletes and our swimmers who have been through our program over the years. Our goal is to create that relationship and to give them more preparation than a normal meet warm up. Enjoy.

Blue vs. Orange

Details: We will be running our Marlin intrasquad meets a little bit differently this year. We will be keeping the kids in their Blue and Orange teams throughout the season to have a little friendly competition with one another. We will be splitting both North and South Marlin 2 and 3 swimmers up in these two teams and remain in these teams for all Marlin intrasquad meets. We will be working on teamwork and teambuilding between these swimmers and encourage one another during the meets and cheering one another on during their races. We will be keeping track of “scores” in each meet – the scoring will be changing each meet with our first meet (10/15/17) focusing on technique, our second meet (11/18/17) on technique while adding speed, and our third meet (1/7/18) with best times. They will be given stickers if their coaches believe they have done what is expected of them in the swim meet. We encourage all North and South Marlin 2 and 3 swimmers to get into the spirit and participate in these meets.

The Focus on Jump Meet: Working on technique during a swim meet, while encouraging one another during the meet and cheering on our teammates during their races.
