Mr. Sattler: We had an executive session prior to tonight’s meeting regarding contract

negotiations and a student matter. An executive session was held on

April 13 to discuss the superintendent search.

1. RESOLUTION FOR CURRENT REFUNDING OF 2003 BOND ISSUE

Mr. Glen Williard provided information on the refunding of the 2003 bond

issue.

Mr. Schanbacher requested that comments be heard from the public now

that the refinancing has been explained.

Mr. Van Horn further moves that all comments should be made specifically on

the refinancing issue.

Mr. McCall responded that Mr. Williard and PFM oversee all of our bond

issues and advises us accordingly.

Mr. Van Horn commented that it’s a team process with the finance committee, business manager and outside consultant and has been in effect for years.

Approve the Resolution for the current refunding of the 2003 Bond Issue.

Approve the termination of the Employment Agreement for Dr. Burke-Stevenson,

Acting Superintendent, under the terms and conditions in said Agreement

hereby giving 30 calendar days notice.

1) Enrollment of Vincent Debus, foreign exchange student from

Germany, for the 2008-2009 school year at Methacton High

School.

Mr. Sattler questioned if this was the first foreign exchange student for

next year.

Dr. Stevenson responded that it was the first student for next year.

4. WOODLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROJECT

a. Authorize the following change orders to General Construction Contract, Penn Builders Inc.:

·  Due to unsuitable existing organic material, excavate and provide suitable backfill at Area “D” Classroom addition - $31,861.

·  Provide an additional 40 lin. ft. of trenching and pipe installation; and install Water Co. provided fire hydrant to connect to public water source termination point at Maplewood Mews cul-de-sac. Water Co. could not provide exact location until excavation was undertaken. Price quoted at
