Crime Watch Report for January 20, 2012 through January 26, 2012
CASE # 12-0256 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY On Friday, January 20, 2012, Deputies Root and Childers responded to a destruction of property complaint near Masontown. The victim had a fuel line cut from his ATV.
CASE # 12-0280 LARCENY On Sunday, January 22, 2012, DFC Sinclair received a larceny complaint from a resident of Terra Alta. A Sony CD player had been stolen from a Chevrolet truck.
CASE # 12-0289 FRAUD On Monday, January 23, 2012, Sgt Root received a fraud complaint from a resident of Masontown. The victim had purchased supplies and never received them. This is a continuing investigation.
CASE # 12-0297 LARCENY On Tuesday, January 24, 2012, Sgt Pritt responded to the Bull Run area, near Masontown, in regards to a larceny complaint. Two Case batteries had been stolen from an excavator.
CASE # 12-0310 SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE On Tuesday, January 24, 2012, DFC Sinclair received a call from a resident of Borgman, near Kingwood, who saw a suspicious vehicle pull out of their driveway. Upon arrival at their home their motion lighted detector had been moved so the sensor would not work properly.
The Kirby vacuum cleaner salesmen continue to be a problem. On Monday, January 23, 2012, the sheriff’s office received two complaints that were the result of these salesmen. One came from the Kingwood area and one from the Eglon area. As a result three people were cited for not having a West Virginia business license.
