MISSIONARY PRAYER FOCUS

Global Partners is asking for focused prayer this week for Jonny Blatt, missionary to El Salvador.

Jonny was raised in church and saved at a young age. As he started college, he sensed a stronger call on his life to serve God in different ways. Through several mission trips, Jonny continued to feel the urgency to become more involved in mission work. In September of 2015, while attending the JIBACAM (Ibero-America missions board) conference in El Salvador, he felt a strong calling on his life to pursue longer mission work. After much prayer, he felt God leading him to El Salvador.

Jonny will be serving alongside The Wesleyan Church in El Salvador. He is excited to work together and help bring teams from the United States to El Salvador. He is also excited to challenge himself to trust God more as he willingly follows his call!

  • Pray for safe travel while I am on partnership development. Pray for wonderful connections as I speak and share with congregations and individuals on what God is doing in my life as he calls me to the mission field.
  • Prayfor the upcoming transitions in my life as I move away from family and adjust to living cross-culturally in El Salvador
  • Pray for my continued efforts as I learn the Spanish language.
  • Pray for the 16 Wesleyan churches that are currently in El Salvador.Also pray for The Wesleyan Church of El Salvador’s goal to continue church planting.
  • Pray for national leaders, Rene and Zoila Melendez, as they lead our pastors and continue training them through the Bible institute.
  • Pray for the health and safety for our El Salvadorian brothers and sisters
