Building Usage For Those Who Are A Part Of The Glenville New Life Community Church Family
Members-Those who have joined the church and currently have an active status as a member. An active member is engaged in the life of the church, supports the church financially for the past 12 months, and supports the ministry and outreach of the church.
Affiliate Members—Those who have not joined the church, but have been active in the life of the church for at least a year who 1) attends church on a regular basis (At least twice a month) 2) supports the church financially on a continuous basis throughout the most recent past 12 months, and 3) is involved in some ministry of the church. (Affiliate members cannot vote in congregational meetings, cannot be elected as elders and deacons, and cannot apply for scholarships reserved for members from the denomination)
Newcomers Those who have not joined the church, but have been active in the life of the church for the past six consecutive months who 1) attend church on a regular basis (at least twice a month), 2) supports the church financially on a continuous basis throughout the most recent past six months, and is involved in some ministry of the church.
All Use Of The Building Is Subject To The Church’s Normal Scheduling Of Events & Subject To Session’s Authority In Determining Priority Use In Terms Of Scheduling Conflict.
Immediate Family means- one’s parents, spouse, children, those they have legal guardianship and lives with them, and brothers and sisters whether they are members of Glenville New Life Community Church or not.
Funeral Policy Sanctuary Use: Members, Affiliate Members, and Newcomers are all entitled to the free use of the sanctuary for a funeral service. They may use the sanctuary for members of their immediate families which includes parents, spouse, children, those they have legal guardianship over and lives with them, and siblings. Newcomers are to pay a $60 cleanup/opening/security fee. The use of the sanctuary for other friends and family members for funerals is $250. The member, affiliate member, or newcomer requesting the sanctuary must be present at the funeral or regular outside rates apply. ( M=Members, AM= Affiliate Members, N= Newcomers throughout this document)
Funeral Policy Meals: Only Funerals held at the church come with a meal provided by the Deacons, unless our church is to small to host the funeral service. M and AM will be served a meal for their immediate family. Meals are provided for immediate family members who are currently living in the home of the Glenville Member. Meals are not provided if an adult family member chooses not to be a part of Glenville New Life Community Church on a regular basis. The family may still used the facilities and pay for the food. Both M and AM are encouraged to make a donation to the Deacons for the cost of the food that is served. N are entitled to a food tray from the deacons. M and AM are entitled to a food tray for funerals not held at the church.
Weddings: M and AM are entitled to the use of the sanctuary for a wedding for themselves for free. There is a $60 cleanup/opening security fee for M and AM. M and AM can reserve the sanctuary for their family members and friends for a discounted fee of $250 plus the $60 cleanup/opening security fee. N may use the sanctuary at the discounted for of $250 plus the security fee. ( Events beyond 2 hours carry additional $10 per hour security fee). If there is a wedding rehearsal, there is a $10 per hour security fee for all M, AM and N.
Baby Showers/Wedding Showers: M and AM are entitled to use the fellowship hall for baby showers and wedding showers for themselves for free. They must clean up after themselves and provide security at the doors. (No unwatched doors, no unlocked doors, and no propping doors open.-The alternative is to pay $10 per hour security fee) N. may use the fellowship hall for $50 and pay $60 for security and cleanup. If a M or AM wants to use the hall for a shower for someone outside the church, they may do so at the discounted price of $50 and provide security and clean up. N may host a shower for friends and family members at a discounted cost of $100 plus the $60 security, cleanup, opening fee. Anyone reserving the building for an outsider must be present the whole time for the event. Events on Saturday occurring after 6 must pay an additional $40 for the custodian to compensate for the worker having to stay later. This is for M, AM, and N.
Sanctuary: M and AM are entitled to the use of the sanctuary once a year for a group (sorority, family reunion, alumni, host a program) they are a part of for the cost of $60 cleanup/opening/security free. They are responsible for the initial cleanup and set up of the sanctuary. N may use the sanctuary for a group they are a part of for a discounted price $200 plus the $60 security/cleanup fee. Events going beyond 2 hours carry an additional $10 per hour security fee.
Classrooms: M and AM may use a classroom space free of charge with the expectation they will clean the room and provide security at the doors, which again means the door is locked and someone will be present to let other people in. A charge of $10 per hour security is required if the group wants to have the doors unlocked for people to enter the building. The person reserving the room must be present at the event. N may rent a classroom for $10 with the same stipulations.
Fellowship Hall: M and AM are entitled to the use of the fellowship hall once a year for a group they are a part of for the 60 cleanup/opening/security fee. M and AM are responsible for the initial cleanup and arranging of space. N may use the fellowship hall for a discounted fee of $200 plus the $60 cleanup/security fee. Events lasting more than 2 hours carry an additional $10 per hour security fee.
There is never to be unsupervised kids in the Nursery of any age during Any events. There is a $20 fee for the use of the Nursery in conjunction with other events for M, AM, and N. You must provide your own supervisors and childcare persons. This is not included in the $20 fee.
