GS Stock Appearing
Midwest Buick Challenge
Saturday, September 14, 2002
Norm Dihle and Rob Ross are inviting all stock appearing Gran Sport Buick owners for fun racing. These SA events will be held at:
· Midwest Buick Challenge – September 14, 2002 at US 41 Dragway, Morocco, IN
· 2003 GS Nationals - May 13 - 17, 2003 (specific race date to be announced)
The desired outcome is to form a comradely akin to the GSE racers, a place we all of us can enjoy our SA Buicks and learn from each other. The race format will be "heads up" and cars will be paired using the ladder system. Listed below are the preliminary rules and is subject to group discussion (only valid racers).

Overall viewpoint:
The stock appearing class was created to have fun racing a stock appearing muscle car. You'll notice that it shouldn't be too difficult to enter, as “100 point” vehicles aren't required. We understand that 30-year-old vehicles are difficult to keep “Pure Stock” and for this reason we use the words “stock appearing”. Where things are difficult to enforce we either clarified rules or left alone.
