Place: BALATONFURED
is a nice city at the north part of the Lake Balaton,
130 km from Budapest. You can reach the city by car, by train or
by plane to Budapest. (If you arrive by plane to Budapest, you
should take at the airport an „Airport Minibus” to „Deli” railway
station and there you can take a direct train to Balatonfured.)
You can also reach the city by plane to Heviz-Balaton Airport.
(It is about 80 km from Balatonfured and if you inform the
reception of the Hotel Marina by e-mail or by phone about your
arrival, they will send a taxi to the airport for you.)

Events: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles and women’s doubles in each of the age categories, which are:
40 – 49 years
50 – 59 years
60 – 64 years
65 – 69 years
70 – 74 years
75 – 79 years
80 – 84 years
85 years and over
Any player belonging to or reaching the age of one of the above mentioned age groups during the year 2018, enters that category.
The players shall, upon request of the Jury, present their passports or I.D cards as proof of age.
If there are less than 5 individual players or pairs in any of the events, such an event may be cancelled and the entered players or pairs moved to the next younger category.
If players from an entered doubles pair do not belong to the same age category, they shall compete in the category of the younger player.
MIXED DOUBLES COMPETITION WITHOUT AGE CATEGORY ABOVE 40
System of play: Each singles and doubles event shall be played in two stages. In the first stage there will be qualifying groups of four or three. („round robin”) In the second stage, players or pairs having finished first or second in their group will qualify for the competition proper (for the title events). Players or pairs having finished third or fourth in their group, will be entitled to play in the corresponding consolation events. Title and consolation events shall be played on a knock-out basis. All matches shall be played by the best of 5 games. (Consolation events will start only with minimum 16 players.)
Each player is entitled to a 15-minutes rest between two matches. Each entered players shall declare that their health condition allows them to participate in the competition and the participation is their own responsibility as to their health.
Awards: Winners, runners- up and 3rd placed players of the events will have a cup.
Playing conditions: 16 TIBHAR tables, TIBHAR balls

(Built in 2015 Hotel Pallone ***+ is located in Balatonfured Fürdő street 34, 350 metres from the „Sporthall” and 150 metres from the nearest beach on the Lake Balaton. It is a very modern and new-designed hotel. Free WiFi access is available on site. Each unit at the property comes with a flat-screen TV and refrigerator. Wall-climate is built-in the room. The price includes HB (buffet breakfast and buffet dinner), parking place and tax. The hotel provides a free card: „Balaton Best Card”.
