This letter is provided at the request of Erik Ohrnberger, who has asked me to serve as a reference on his behalf. As a former contract Employee of at&t, I have no reservations in giving Erik my full support as a reference.

Erik Ohrnberger was a at&t Project Manager on the GM OnStar Acccount in Michigan. I worked with Erik on the OnStar account In observance of Erik’s duties I saw that Erik proved himself, a hard worker and worked well under very short time frames. OnStar is a very fast moving GM Account and Erik stepped up to the plate to help get the Projects done.

I viewed Erik as a very conscientious and able employee. The departure of Erik coincided with numerous reductions in headcount at at&t.

I strongly recommend Erik for any responsible management position in Information Technology operations or within the automobile industry in general.

SUBJECT: Recommendation letter for Erik Ohrnberger.

Please feel free to contact me if you have additional questions beyond what is stated here.

Erik Ohrnberger was employed at D-M-E Company from August of 2002 through July of 2006. Unfortunately, due to a need to rightsize D-M-E to its profitability and cash flow, Erik was let go in July of 2006 along with twelve other people.

During his employment at D-M-E, Erik worked on a graphic user interface that was to be used with a high end hot runner temperature control system for the plastics industry. Linux was the chosen operating system and Erik employed the necessary tools and skill set to put the program together.

This program included every known feature available to hot runner control systems, including several patented features exclusive to D-M-E Company.

Erik also developed a thermal profiling program that was used to test the heat profiles of hot runner nozzles. This program was written in Visual Basic and controlled a stepper motor that moved a temperature measuring apparatus along the length of the nozzle, waited for the temperature to stabilize and then recorded to measurement.

Erik controlled the development environment all on his own. He created test environments as well for connection to the actual temperature control equipment. He also created a stable back up environment to make sure that the code under development was adequately protected from loss.

Again, should you have additional questions regarding Mr. Ohrnberger, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

SUBJECT:Letter of Recommendation for Mr. Erik Ch. Ohrnberger

This letter is provided at the request of Erik Ch. Ohrnberger, who has asked me to serve as a reference on his behalf. As a former employee of Oxford Automotive, I have no reservations in giving Erik my full support as a reference. I left Oxford on June 14th, 2002 to seek employment elsewhere. My leaving was a direct of result of pressures and stress related to the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing of Oxford.

Erik Ohrnberger led Oxford Automotives’ GlobalSupportCenter in Troy, Michigan. I worked with Erik in Oxfords day to day operations. In observance of Erik’s duties I saw that Erik proved himself to be an able employee, a hard worker, and a good supervisor of employees under the harshest of conditions. During Erik’s tenure at Oxford, the Information Technologies department experienced numerous head count reductions with an increase of workload.

In spite of the harsh conditions, Erik met and exceeded Oxfords daily needs and managed to continue scheduled upgrades and replacement of leased equipment.

I viewed Erik as a very conscientious and able employee. The departure of Erik coincided with numerous reductions in headcount at Oxford as a direct result of Oxford Automotives insolvency and subsequent Chapter 11 reorganization, all of which occurred within a depressed economy.

I strongly recommend Erik for any responsible management position in Information Technology operations or within the automobile industry in general.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Dave Vanderford

Objet/Betrifft/Subj :Letter of Recommendation for Mr. Erik Ch. Ohrnberger

This letter is provided at the request of Erik Ch. Ohrnberger, who has asked me to serve as a reference on his behalf. This is a task which I undertake with no reservations whatsoever. The information contained in this letter is confidential and should not be disclosed to anyone in your organization who would not be involved in the hiring decision. Additionally, the information should not be disclosed to anyone outside of your organization without the consent of Mr. Ohrnberger.

Erik Ohrnberger led Oxford Automotives’ GlobalSupportCenter in Troy, Michigan under my direct supervision from November 1st, 1999, until May 31st, 2002. His responsibilities included but were not limited to:

 Participation in the design, implementation, configuration, and management of Oxford’s network infrastructure including Inter- and Intranet utilization. These items included but were not limited to: Wide Area Networking(WAN), Value Added Networks (VAN), the Automotive Network eXchange (ANX), and Virtual Private Networks (VPN).

Acted as the point person for coordination of WAN and LAN migrations and integrated emerging technologies where appropriate into the existing corporate networking infrastructure including ISDN / Videoconferencing.

  • Assumed the overall management of routers, firewalls and other networking equipment and ancillary computing machinery required for network operations and to implement systems to support the centralized monitoring of these functions.
  • Directly managed up to nine network support engineers, including contracted externals.

In addition to this Erik had clerical duties associated with equipment leases, reutilization of equipment, custody control, supplier price negotiations, and vendor invoicing. Over the course of his employment, Erik proved himself to be an able employee, a hard worker, and to be both talented and innovative in the execution of his duties.

During Erik’s tenure at Oxford, the Information Technologies department experienced a personnel head count reduction from seventy-one employees to only twenty-eight persons in the face of sustained rapid growth from $536m/yr in 1998 – all domestic revenue - to over $1bn/yr Worldwide and a fundamental shift to 53% of the business occurring outside of the United States and Canada.

Despite the foregoing, service and reliability for those areas under Mr. Ohrnbergers’ cognizance continually improved. Simply put, his job was to connect all the pieces and insure they worked properly. This he accomplished. I was quite impressed by Eriks’ ability to satisfactorily complete in a timely fashion the considerable amount of work which was tasked him. His organizational talent and ability to function effectively within an extremely stressful environment prompted us to rapidly promote him from a regional North American position to one encompassing global responsibilities. There was never before, nor has there been since, a more responsive or sincere individual filling the position.

Overall, Erik is a very conscientious and able employee. I certainly believe he has what it takes, and I would gladly “do it all over again” with him. The departure of Mr. Ohrnberger from our employ is a direct result of Oxford Automotives insolvency and subsequent Chapter 11 reorganization, all of which occurred within a depressed economy... and were well beyond Erik’s ability to influence. Nothing further can be inferred or should be implied from this, and I was sad to see him leave.

I strongly recommend Erik for any responsible management position in Information Technology operations or within the automobile industry in general.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

B. E. Williams

By Mark C. Fisher, Senior Nodal Voice Project Manager, AT&T, P: (248) 395-0734, C: (586) 530-8705

Erik was a quick study at AT&T; he hit the ground running and took on a large OnStar project right out of the gate. Erik is a conscientious worker and knows how to be part of a team so – if any one of your groups has a need Erik would do well.

By Michael M. Bowyer, Senior Network Engineer, CCNA, MCSE(248) 371-3578, 2002

  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks at the department’s gain
  • Improved the flow of communication among the I.T. staff
  • Positive impact that Erik made to the Information Technology department and throughout the company, was extensive and unmistakable.
  • Due in large part to his leadership, Oxford Automotive I.T. department consistently passed audits conducted by independent auditors
  • Just the right amount of management from Mr. Ohrnberger, he did not attempt to “micro-manage” his team members, nor did he “leave you hanging”, with little or no direction.

By Aaron Porzondek, Network Consultant, MCSE+Internet, MCSA, CCNA (248)-371-3406, 2002

  • Established a very efficient and organized IT department
  • Due to the leadership of Mr. Ohrnberger. The corporate IT team at Oxford Automotive was a very productive team and I was proud to a part of it.
  • I was impressed by Mr. Ohrnberger’s involvement in standards and procedures documentation project. Instead of just assigning areas to be documented, he documented several standards and procedures himself and set the tone for the remainder of the project.

What do you think of Erik's management and leadership skills?

  • Erik effectively led his team to accomplish the tasks needed in a timely and proficient manner. David Vanderford, Oxford Director of Purchasing, 2002.
  • The Oxford Automotive IT department responded admirably under Mr. Ohrnberger's direction. Policy and Procedure were key components in developing a strong IT department within the organization, something Mr. Ohrnberger stressed regularly. In response, the team excelled at the projects and duties put forth under his direction, Eric Kaplan, Oxford Help Desk supervisor, 2002
  • Mr. Ohrnberger was a very dynamic leader. His emphasis on documentation made transition for new employees easy and painless and a goodknowledge base for the IT team, Jenkins Ebiware, Oxford Network Administrator, 2002.

What’s your opinion of Erik’s technical skills?
