News from the 25th Purley (St.Mark’s) Scout Group March 2018
Purley Swimathon – Well done!
Our team swam 111 lengths in 55 minutes. We are so proud of you all. Well done and thank you to Will and Tori Urquhart, George Sunderland, Harry and Charlie Sinclair Smith, Robbie Harris, Abby and Louie Hall and of course, to Baloo who organised everything and managed the team on the night. It’s not too late to sponsor them - the link to MYDONATE page is:-2 Every penny raised will be going to support "Daisy", the horse that we are sponsoring at The Diamond Centre for Disabled Riders.
Saturday 10th March, 10am to 4pm – WoodcoteGreenGarden Centre
We will be offering a bag packing and trolley to car service to help raise funds for Kandersteg 2018.
You do not need to be attending Kandersteg 2018 to lend a hand. All welcome – parents and young people –it is great fun! There are 3 two hour sessions starting at 10am, 12noon and 2pm.
MothersDayChurch Parade Sunday 11th March - Meet at 9.00am
Bring along Mum on her special day to what is always a lovely service. Collection money most welcome.
Meet at 9am in full smart uniform with shoes polished and scarves ironed.
We’re collecting Woodcote Green, Green Fingered Scheme Vouchers!
Our aim is to construct a small garden along the front of the scout hut later on this year.

Join in our 2018 Lent Good Turn – “Daisy” and The Diamond Centre
The Explorer Unit is invited to join with the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and ask everyone in their family to give up a treat during Lent and give the money they would have spent on it to our Lent Charity for 2018. Bring along your donations to Unit meetings after the Easter holidays.
Sunday 22ndApril - St. George’s Day Parade 2018 – Format and time TBC
