Purpose of the role

Working as part of a team of invigilators you will ensure the smooth running of the examination process and adherence to examination room procedures in the School of Environment and Technology.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Monitor and prepare examination rooms. Ensure that appropriate examination paperwork is in place.Provideclear guidance to students on examination procedures.
  • Give instruction andappropriateassistance during examinations and ensure that there is minimum disruption and optimum conditions for students. Maintain oversight of students during examinations,providing assistance where needed and recordall incidents including illness, absence from the exam room and any breaches of examination room regulations.
  • Conclusion of the examinations.Announce the completion of the examination and give clear instructions on procedures to be followed. Ensure that all scripts, attendance lists are collected and collated,and any further school procedures relating to examinations are correctly followed.
