Against All Odds Super Suppers Thrives and Celebrates 10 Years
Ten years ago Cassie Egli was a whirlwind of activity. In the span of 6 months, she moved to a new state, built a home, had a new job, planned a wedding, became a step-mom and more.
Her challenge? Eating healthy. She looked for resources but nothing seemed to fit. She liked cooking at home, but struggled to get dinner ready before 9pm. Restaurants were an expensive option - not to mention full of calories - and meals in bags from the grocery store were full of preservatives.
The solution? Open a business of her own featuring healthy Take n’ Bake entrees to feed families that want to eat healthier for an affordable price.
But it wasn’t easy. Egli did her research and decided to buy a Super Suppers franchise. They were the first to market with the concept, had a culinary school and offered healthier options. She believed in the concept and her family loved the food.
Unfortunately, in 2007, as soon as she opened her store, the economy collapsed, and the vast majority of Super Suppers across the nation along with it – including the corporation itself. In the midst of the economic downfall Egli was resourceful, had a dedicated following, and was able to buy out of the franchise prior to its demise and became a Mom & Pop’s Studio Kitchen, with the ability to retain the name Super Suppers.
How does she do it? Egli says, “I started with a quality product at a price most can afford and then listened to my clients, customizing options to meet their needs. In fact, many clients have been loyal since the beginning and rely on Super Suppers to feed their family each month.” Egli says that constant evolution is key, and responding to market needs quickly has been another key to her success.
