JOB DESCRIPTION

Post Title: Digital Designer/Artworker

Reporting to: Marketing Studio Manager

Location: Head Office, St David’s Park, Flintshire

Scope: Working as part of a multi-discipline team the individual must be highly motivated and well organised, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure whilst problem solving. They will need to be self disciplined with a strong work ethic, and able to meet tight deadlines while still producing high quality work.

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for an accomplished digital designer/artworker with a minimum of 3 years experience to work alongside our award winning internal marketing team and external web based companies to deliver digital assets day-to-day across email, website, social channels, digital marketing and advertising.

KEY SKILLS

·  Strong layout and typography skills.

·  Meticulous attention to detail.

·  Good knowledge with Dreamweaver (or other IDE’s) and Photoshop/Illustrator.

·  Extensive knowledge of HTML and CSS for email build.

·  Experience using Mailchimp or other ESPs.

·  Knowledge of email service providers and their limitations.

·  An understanding of browser/email client compatibility issues and email code.

·  Knowledge of Excel and web analytics.

·  Good knowledge of FTP.

·  Collaborating with technical teams to ensure feasibility of ideas during digital assets creation.

·  Database knowledge preferred but not essential.

·  Experience with XD, Indesign and PDF creation preferred but not essential.

·  Motivated to keep knowledge and technical skills up-to-date.

·  Ability to work under pressure to deadlines with good organisational / time management skills and the ability to multi-task.

DAY TO DAY YOU’LL BE

·  Building responsive HTML emails to cutting edge best practices.

·  Updating and maintaining existing email templates.

·  Building new email creative using an existing email framework.

·  Ensuring every email meets the required standards: testing and fixing emails using Litmus.

·  To assist in all areas of the marketing department on an ad-hoc basis as required.

·  Building new digital assets keeping within the pre-defined creative guidelines.

·  At all time comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.

·  Implement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving contribution to the organisation’s goals and enhancing the reputation of the company.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Effective working relationships are an essential part of daily working life. The focus in this role is both:-

Internal: Colleagues within the Marketing Department and Operating Divisions; and

External: Third party agencies

These are illustrative duties and the post holder will be expected to become involved in a range of work to enable the department to respond effectively to the requirements of the Company.
