Ops team
The Operations team is the engine that keeps the gears of AltSchool moving. Our team works to ensure the satisfaction of our students, parents, and teachers, while also running our school sites and expanding our network. We engineer the day-to-day AltSchool experience from behind-the-scenes, iterating across teams throughout the company on operational strategies and processes in order to foster the best learning environment possible. As the part of our organization that is closest to students, teachers and parents, the Operations team owns the relationships for all of the micro-school stakeholders.
Description
The Facilities Coordinator – coordinates maintenance and custodial services for the outstanding spaces that deliver the AltSchool experience. The facility coordinator ensures building and equipment operation, custodial care, fire and safety programs, budget control, project management, and related code enforcement.
Responsibilities
- Coordinatespreventive, on-demand, and emergency maintenance, as well ascustodialservices
- Ensures that periodic and preventive maintenance is appropriately scheduled and accomplished and that emergency troubleshooting and maintenance support are readily available and dispatched as needed
- Maintenance goal setting, service provider scheduling, and quality assurance to ensure safe and properly functioning environments
- Coordinates these services within the parameters of budgets and market requirements in alignment and support of cross-functional teams
- Implements innovative programs, processes and procedures that reduce operating costs and increase student, parent, and educator satisfaction
- Coordinate Environmental Health & Safetyprograms
- Identifies exceptions, proposes and sources timely and efficient solutions
- Conducts proactive and responsive site visits
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent experience in Facilities, construction, and or project management
- Facilities operations, environmental health & safety, and project management experience (1-3 years)
- Ability to work collaboratively with others in a user centric environment
- Ability to mutli-task effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Analytical, problem solving and effective communication skills
- Zendesk familiarity +
- School facilitymanagement or School project management experience ++
